Used this tool kit to pull the hub on my Kia Soul front hub, worked out great. Fantastic quality for the price. Great tool kit.

Nice tool and storage case, bound to be useful, so five stars. I bought this to remove the Oil Seal from a Volvo SX-M outdrive. Unfortunately the previous owner had glued that seal with adhesive and the seal itself offered very little metal to grab on to. I had to use primal methods to remove that seal. But I analyzed this tool, and I think that I could sharpen the edges of the three jaws to obtain a better grip. Also lubricating the cone and rounding the edges where the jaws contact it will allow me to tighten the jaws against the seal. I will make these improvements to my toolset. Highly recommend the toolset!

I am leery of Chinese brands without a stable of products with good reviews. OMT has it and for good reason. This set is very good and quality is decent. I like the case and it fits everything well. Unfortunately, it does fit any slide hammer accessories you may have. The threads of the slide hammer is the standard 5/8"-18 so will fit a variety of accessories. I would say the only downside is that the weight of the slide hammer is just under 4lb. Recommended!

This is basically the same as the Maddox 9 piece slide hammer kit from HF but about 2/3rds the price. The pieces themselves were made with decent enough tolerances, none were wildly varying from the other and everything was the proper size and shape, the metal is solid and there was no sharp burring left over from the machining process. Some of the pieces came out of place and the case got a bit chewed up during shipping, not surprising given how heavy it is but everything held up and was able to slot back into place and stay put and the case still opens and closes and holds. The coatings on the pieces themselves also held up fairly well despite some parts coming loose and rolling about in the case. The Instruction manual oddly enough was titled as a Camshaft Locking Set. Weird flex but okay. The contents were accurate to the kit itself, I would have liked to see a bit more explanation of the different set ups and what they can be used for but chances are if you are buying a specialized tool like this you know what you're using it for and given the price I'm surprised it even came with a manual.

I've been gathering used made-in-USA bearing pullers and gear separators, mainly OTC branded or rebranded, some Craigslist, mostly eBay. There was gap in what I had: there's a lot that can be done with a slide-hammer puller. After seeing the reviews and checking some details for this OMT/Orion set, which is a duplicate of OTC 4579, and seeing that it was on sale, I decided to give it a try. At the current "limited time deal" price, the Orion set is just about half the cost of OTC, and both are made in China now. The fit and finish on everything looks great. The edges on the inner/outer bearing puller fingers are crisp; there's just a little bit of grit on some of the threaded surfaces, easily cleaned off before use; and the vise grips adapter not only fit the vintage USA Petersen full-size wrenches I have, but also allowed them to close down all the way (reviews of some competing products mentioned this as a limitation). I suppose I could yet find in use the yield strength of the steel deficient, but but so far the set seems worth the savings. I was offered the option of it being shipped in just the manufacturer's cardboard box, which turned out to be a substantial double-thickness. There were complaints about the blow-molded plastic box breaking easily, so I asked for an additional Amazon box outside that, and everything arrived safely. Very happy with what I've received.

Does exactly what I wanted it for... pulling bearings out of hubs on my car. Keep in mind the slide is not that heavy so you really have to work hard... but that is OK. If you are not physically capable, maybe consider a slide with more mass. I banged out two big bearings in about 10-15 minutes each... did sweat but all good.

Worked well to remove hub from 2010 honda odyssey. Used the slide hammer.

The pin on end of the bar slides out. Try to fix it but failed. It needs to have better quality control.

I specifically needed a rear hub puller, but wasn't sure if it would fit my vehicle. I emailed OMT and they replied within 12 hours which I thought was impressive. The set appears to be well made from quality metal and seems to be pretty robust. Using the hub puller I was able to get an extremely stuck driveshaft separated from the rear hub on my BMW E46 so that job alone has already paid for it. Very pleased.

Got use it for the first time on my vehicle to remove a back wheel hub worked great and the price was right and I am very satisfied it was money well spent

I have only used it once so far to replace a front wheel bearing on my Kia Rio. The slide hammer made quick work on removing the hub to get to the bearing. The only thing to be aware is the yoke I used to bolt to the hub didn’t quite fit and it slightly bent one of the studs . I had to hammer it back into place after. Otherwise a good investment to your tool arsenal.
