Language is little complicated to understand. Not going to read this book. I would rather recommend you to read "karma" by acharya Prashant if you want to understand the "self" & just started learning about sprituality. Literally this one book will change your thinking about life.

I liked the statements and sense of Marcus Aurelius. I found them to be a guiding way to live right among all kinds of stress and strains in the world that makes me crazy. I feel peace in knowing that our human condition in our world today seems to have not changed much over the centuries and that someone then was able to bring some sanity to it all. As far as the movie "Gladiator", which Marcus Aurelius was mentioned in (that I thought was a fictional character) later stunned me to find out that he was actually a real guy! Here's the proof and it makes me feel that I wonder if the movie "Gladiator" was a sort of true event. I don't know, all that I do know is that this book has a lot of wisdom in it and that I recommend it.

Some fantastic teachings which should be taught in schools to this day. Kindle is recommended for use as some of the language is very old or complex and Kindle gives instant definitions.

Everything is cheap about this book except the price. Quite disappointed.
