The media could not be loaded.  Overall: Good camera, 50 minute-ish battery life, has a remote, and the microphone is great.For being a lower cost, stand alone video camera, it's good. I have been using this to record our robotics competitions for my students to review footage so the drivers can get better, and also to rate our competitors when we need to make teams. There's no audio on this video because I apparently didn't push the audio cord in all the way when I set it up, but the ones afterwards, the audio is crystal clear. I didn't use that video because our robot broke, and it was a sad video and the world doesn't need to see.Video: Pretty clear. It's 1080P, but with 4K out now, it doesn't look so hot, but this isn't a $500 camera. It's great for what we do, and you can see the video yourself.Sound: Crystal clear. The mic that mounts on top is really great. It does need to charge separately though, so we aware of that.Battery: Comes with 2 removable and rechargeable batteries for the camera, and the mic has a built in one. The camera's batteries last roughly 50 minutes before needing to be recharged. They recharge only on the camera, no separate dock. This is where I'll advise using a power bank for extended recordings, which I'll be doing. Not a big deal.Ease of use: Comes with a little remote to activate it on a tripod. Fairly easy to use, have to be on the left side of the camera for it to work I've noticed. I use a tall tripod, so the remote makes it much easier to manage than without. The playback feature took a few seconds to figure out (I didn't use the manual, because reasons). But once you figure it out, it's cake.Overall: Good camera, 50 minute ish battery life, has a remote, and the microphone is great. Wish I could charge the batteries off the camera, but not a deal breaker since I can use a power bank.

I did everything in my power not to hate this product because "it" was recommended to my wife by (a professional) someone who is coaching her on self-taping. Those of you who understand self-taping will understand what I'm about to say, and why. Here are the facts: It uses a legacy operating system that doesn't work with Mac. The pictures and video reminds me of a camcorder I once had back in the 80's. (However if you're recording to get that look on purpose, then this is your camera!) It crashed every time I recorded a video, and cleared out pictures I had previously taken. So no, I was not able to record one full video. There are some buttons that have multiple functions, and might be confusing to a novice. Once this camera was handed over to me to figure it out, I knew it was going back! Good luck

Product specs state it can be used as a webcam. I have another unit similar to this in (different brand) that works beautifully for this purpose though USB 2 so I bought this one. When you figure out the undocumented magick of pushing the power and mode button while using your third hand to plug in the power cord (if you're not using battery) then it finally comes up in "webcam" mode. The computer recognizes it but no video is processed. Digging through the Q&A's we find the company's response of "You can, but you have to use Camlink which you can find it on Amazon it's about $200 or so". If you want a webcam for streaming live, look somewhere else.

I was very disappointed by this camera. We bought as a gift for a teenager interested in videography as a way to test their level of true interest at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, this camera was the wrong choice. The display quality is very poor. I thought it might be better if I ran it through a HD TV via the provided cable but I was wrong. It was disappointing to realize the provided external microphone needs to be connected to really get any sound. Also, moving through the functions and such on the camera is awkward. In general, I was embarrassed to have given it as a present.

This is a very cheap, low quality camera. It is nice that it is kind of simple to use, comes with an extra battery and remote. But I have this aching feeling that I should have just went with the canon PowerShot. The picture and video quality is awful and not at all what I was expecting. Unfortunately my Honor X7 has better photo, video and sound quality. It's my fault for not paying attention. I just really wanted a nice video camera for Christmas. However, this is not worth the cost. I regret my purchase.

There is no manufacturer name on the camera or the box.There is no mention of a URL to download software.The manual is written for Windows 7 and prior.The manual outlines a menu system on the camera different from the menus on the camera.Windows 7 and Windows 10 do not recognize the microphone at all.Support is non-existent as there is neither a website nor an email address nor a telephone number to contact the company.It is utter junk.

My husband and I got this video camera so that we can do home videos since we just had a baby not too long ago. We are loving it! The picture quality and battery life are both great and it is so easy to hook up to your tv to watch the different things that you record. It comes with a small case to put the video camera in which is also a big perk. Love it!

The camera was very easy to assemble. The mic did not produce good quality sound for me. I tried indoors and outdoors just not good sound. This camera is for a beginner, so if you are looking to improve your vlogging, this would be a great start. This camera was not a good fit for me.

I bought this product because it offers the external mic option, and the recording quality matches its description. The sound was great and picks up all channels of musical instruments. Recommend if you need to create musical youtube recordings!The sound is terrible without the external mic so make sure you plug it in every time when making recording!
