OMG!! Cooks food great, I should have bought this years ago!!!
Okay, I don't do product reviews as a rule, but after buying and using this cast iron skillet ... WOW!! I researched this type of product years ago and figured it was hype. Also, prepping it before use and maintenance after, etc. At this early stage, it's well worth it.I got this a few days ago and took time seasoning it a few times (4-5 times for me). I didn't bother sanding or grinding it down like I read others has. I figured if needed I'd backtrack and start the process all over.Last night I decided to give pizza a try. My initial try was with store bought pizza (brand not mentioned here). I preheated the skillet (I had previously let the pizza thaw a little -- wasn't too sure about throwing frozen pizza on a 400 degree cast iron skillet. Pizza took a little longer to cook from the box timeframe. Not sure what variables controlled that, but I carefully monitored until it seemed to my liking.Pizza came out damn good -- better than when I'd just take it out and throw it on the oven rack. And the crust (bottom and the pizza itself) was cooked to perfect ... not burnt, not overcooked, not doughy. And the pizza didn't stick to the skillet!! Cleanup was easy. I let the skillet cool down a little and wiped the slight residue off with a paper towel, Easy.I decided that a skillet breakfast was in order, Pizza obviously was easy, but let's see how it performed with different ingredients in it. Again, I went thru preheat, lightly coated the skillet with oil, threw in the ingredient and went to work. When it was all said and done ... breakfast was ready, and all cooked in one utensil! And again, WOW!! It was cooked GREAT!! I was a little overzealous so I have some leftovers for another time. One last thing. I researched skillets before making my choice. I chose this product (Legend) based on what I had read. Well constructed, good product, not the cheapest, but as my Dad told me, "But cheap, get cheap".Bottom line ... I'm damn glad I made the purchase. I see a lot of tasty and easily cooked meals in my future!!

Makes a really nice crispy pizza crust
Oh man, am I in love with this pan! I don't think I'll ever buy delivery pizza again. It now pales in comparison to what I can make at home with this pan. As soon as I got it, I had to try it out. I absolutely love thin crust pizza, but I can never get it to turn out as crispy as I like. I read online that the best way to get an extra crispy crust was to use a cast iron pan and they were right. Here's how I make my pizza. It turns out perfectly every time. I make my pizza dough in my bread machine. It's so easy to throw all of the ingredients in and in no time I've got my dough. Before I roll out the dough super thin, I put the cold pan in the oven, so it heats up while the oven comes up to temperature. Once the oven and pan are up to temperature, I take out the pan, put the dough on it and let it be for 1-2 minutes to crisp up a bit. I add the toppings and stick it back in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is nice and brown. Take out and enjoy!! YUMMO!! This pan is high quality. I can't tell a difference between it and the Lodge cast iron pans that I have. It performs just as well, but for much less. So far, we've only used this for pizzas, but I'm planning to use it as a griddle to make breakfast on Christmas morning. It's easy to clean up and the seasoning is building up nicely. I'd highly recommend this pan to all of those crispy pizza lovers out there.

Great pizza pan for the grill
These are great pans. I got two; one was a return, and one was new. The two pans are identical as far as I can tell, so they are consistent across my sample size. They are heavy enough to feel very sturdy, but not too heavy to use easily. I followed the instructions on seasoning them (I did five layers), and then immediately started using them to make pizza on my barrel coal grill. I am very happy with the purchase and will keep this company in mind for additional cast iron purchases in the future.

Unbeatable for pizza
Not great for the stovetop which is why I bought it. It's too big for one burner and not big enough for two. It is unbeatable for homemade pizza. Add a little oil, smush out your dough, add the toppings and bake in high oven. It entire bottom crust gets a beautiful toasted color. Love it for Pizza.
