25Pcs Screw Extractor Set

Out of four bolts on my Kawasaki ZZR1200 Tokico brake caliper, two popped out nicely and two just rounded off the hex inside the head. Heat, penetrating oil and a good quality hex-socket hadn't worked, so I bought a set of these as a last line of sanity before the grinder got dusted off! The whole job took less than five minutes in the end. Tap in the screw extractor to get it to bite, then gently begin rotating counterclockwise and you can feel it digging into the screw. Now increase the pressure (24" breaker bar!) and watch it do its magic. I must admit that I was worried the bit would break before the screw came out, but in the end all was fine. Inspection of the extractor afterwards showed no damage at all - still like new. With any screw extractor there is the worry that it'll break off and make the situation worse ... in this case, the tool did the job as needed and as such I'm very happy with the design and quality of them, so much so that I bought the complementing set of bolt extractors. Overall a great addition to the workshop.

Don’t really in the habit of writing review on Amazon but since I bought these based on other reviews I thought I’d chime in. I bought this as I was at my wits end on how to extract some m6 bolts that had been over tighten well above specs and also completely rusted in. The hex slot got stripped and welding a nut on top was not an option. From weeks of trying different things to literally minutes to inserting and using a long breaker bar to get the bolt released. As you can see from the picture the bolt extractor just chewed it’s way into the bolt without any problems. Initially I was concerned how strong the extractors would be but they are STRONG. Then I got concerned how I would ever get it out again from the bolt but a small turn in the other direction end it was out. Not sure I will ever use all the sizes but what drew me to this set was the various sized and the fact I could use a ratchet/breaker bar to release. Top product and value for money

One 8mm bolt rounded off couldn't move with mole grips..kit turned up 9.30 in the evening and went out with head torch on and removed bolt in less than a minute..very pleased with kit and sure it will come in handy again..

The product was exactly as expected and from pictures and description provided. Although the the bolt extractor socket does what it says on the time i.e. it grabs the bolt head but as yet not been able to get sufficient purchase on the ratchet to budge the bolt. I have added penetrating oil around the bolt and will leave for a day or possible two before trying again. I wanted to get the bolt out without having to drill the bolt out but this maybe my only option.

I bought this for a simply m6 hex screw that was stripped due to the hole not having thread throughout on my dining chair. I wasn’t too sure how this worked at first until I got it and realised how simple it was! Firstly, I needed a socket adapter to fit the tool, I then selected the sizing which was just right for my rounded hex screw (at first, I selected a smaller one thinking it drills through then grips it but I was wrong, it’s even more simple). Once you have the right size and a socket on your drill, you simply go anti clockwise and the tool grips onto the rounded screw and it comes out! It literally took less than 3 seconds and I couldn’t believe how easy it was! This is an expensive kit but the quality of it seems durable and will last a long time, even though I only used 1 size, I will definitely be keeping this kit as it worked wonders and I’m sure it will save me a lot of time in the future when working with cheap screws and stripping them. Thank you!
