Magic Makers gives magic a bad name ,they owner ROB is tricking you out of your hard earn money.
THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST 30.00 DOLLARS FOR CHEAP-MADE CHINESE CUPS AND BALLS THAT LOOK LIKE DOLLAR STORE MADE. MAGIC MAKERS OVER THE YEARS BECAME A RIP-OFF FOR MAGIC, HE ONLY LIKES TO GET YOU ONE TIME TIMES A LOT OF BUYERS, AT THE END OF THE DAY IT IS WHAT HE CAN MAKE, IN IT FOR THE MONEY AND WE DO NOT NEED THAT KIND OF SELLER.

Good but frustrated
I had wanted this truck for a long time, mainly because of the size of the cup since o do a lot of table hopping and Restauraunt magic. When I received the chop cut it all came well packed and even came with two sets of chop cup balls. The frustration I have is the chop cup balls that came with it are totally different in regards to the gimmicked ball compared to the regular ball, which makes it hard to switch the gimmick when needed because they are night and day different in color and in the stitching. Really wanted to use this trick for an even I had planned for today but now I can’t due to the truck not being usable. Would really like to have a truck I can use. On a good note though the cup thst came with it was well made.

Great little chop cup routine for on the go. Nicely made!
Very nice chop cup set. Small and comfortable to work with and fits in my pocket. The cup is sturdy. It was worth it for my first cup and ball routine.

Passable at the Price
For the price, you get a pretty decent mini/micro chop cup. Unfortunately, the cup and its accessories have a few glaring flaws that keep it from being a "must buy."Full disclosure: I bought this as a present; I already own a chop cup and know how to use it, so I didn't bother to look at the DVD. Assuming it's standard Magic Makers fare it will be relatively informative and will provide a decent baseline for beginners to the prop. I looked over the cup itself and its accessories to make sure I wasn't getting useless garbage and this review is about them. The cup itself is, as others have said, about the size of a shot glass. This isn't necessarily a bad thing; it packs easier in the pocket and is easier to carry around. It also limits some of the effects you can perform and, of course, your final load options are more limited. The cup itself is fairly nice looking and feels solid, you could probably claim its a shot measure or unique jigger and use it in a bar act. That said, it has a pretty critical flaw in its design -- it has no dimple. Most cups for magic, chop or otherwise, have a dimple in the "top" (normally the bottom, but since cups for magic are normally mouth-down, it's called the top) to ensure that, when you rest a ball on top of the cup, it doesn't roll away. The top of this cup is flat, which is a terrible idea for reasons I'll get into below.Next up, the red knit balls that come with the package. These are your normal, cheap cork balls that come with low-cost cup sets. The knit covering is cheaply made, will fray and unravel easily, and you especially should not expect the gimmick to not make its presence known after extended use. Considering the size of this cup and the close quarters you'll need to use it in, "chatter" could be a real problem. This is a problem all the cheap balls have -- they'll do fine for practice and deciding if you like the trick or not; if you do, you can (and should) ditch the cheap balls and spend some coin on some higher quality balls like from Rings n Things. The balls are what they are, but I think they're too big for the cup they come with. Finally, we have the rubber bounce balls that are provided as a final load. They're rubber balls, not a lot to be said about them themselves, but I can say some things about the choice of including them. They do OK as final loads, but there's some serious caveats with that. First of all, there's that infernal flat-topped cup. In a standard routine with a double load finale, it's quite common to rest the first load on top of the cup, where it stays nicely in place in the dimple. The cup can then be lifted, load and all, to reveal the second load. With this cup, your ball will almost certainly roll off the top, and it will also be a pain to keep on top of the cup after revealing the second load even if you can keep it in place. Then there's the choice of hard rubber -- this ensures you HAVE to use a close-up mat or similar to perform the effect with the balls as the final load. Last of all, we have the combined choice of the size of the knit balls and that of the rubber balls -- they're too close in size to each other, which diminishes the effect of the final load. Consider that most chop cup routines use balls very close to the same size as what comes with this set, but end with the production of a lemon, orange, baseball or similar object that is much larger. This massive disparity in size is as important to the effect as differences in things like color and pattern, and without it, the effect is diminished. The rubber balls, being so close in size, simply don't feel as "magical" when they are produced. It would have been better to have gone with a smaller set of knit balls to avoid dampening the effect of the final load(s).Overall, this isn't a terrible cup set, and it might suit your needs, if you're looking to add a mini/micro chop cup on short money, or to try one of this size out. I don't feel bad for giving it as a gift to a beginning magician. I think I would have returned it had I bought it for myself, though, simply because an extra $30 could have gotten me a much higher-quality piece, one with a dimple.
