Maximum Velocity PreShaped Bulk Kit

These were great kits for the price. The blocks, wheels and axles were very high quality. The added instruction sheets and baggies to separate the car kits to hand out were a nice touch. Just remember, these kits DO NOT HAVE WEIGHTS included with them. No big deal for most, but for some of the kids/families, they had trouble figuring out how to add weight to their cars or didn't know the needed or could add more weight. (It didn't occur to me until the race that not everyone would figure this out on their own, so the kids that did add weight dominated. Next time I will give everyone something printed suggesting weight options and limits, or just include some in the kit. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH THE KITS OR SELLER, JUST A SUGGESTION.)

We host a derby in our town with roughly 50-60 attendees and these kits make it so easy to make sure that everyone is using the exact same materials as their starting point. They are great quality and all weight right at 5 ounces when put together.

Indistinguishable from the BSA kits outside of not having the same writing on the wheels. Works really well, build some winning cars out of these kits. Everything seems to be regulation.

Product was shipped quickly and came exactly how it was pictured. The quality of the materials included in the kit are top notch. Kit came with instructions and it was easy & fast to assemble the individual kits to hand out. I am a new Scout leader this year and I was worried about the quality and measurements of other kits that weren't from our local scout store, but I decided to try this one. Good price. Great quality kit. IMO better than official BS kit. But by our CS pack's rules we have to use the official wheels. Even with the wheels ($10 wheel +$5 per car in a kit) it is still cheaper than the official car (about $18). I bought it for a sibling that is not in BS so she still qualified. I wanted to have extra cars just in case we mess the official one ☺️

Blocks are premium quality. Wheels have a very premium look, in fact the best looking straight out of the package that I have ever seen period when compared to BSA or Awana, and especially better than the pinewood derby junk wheels. Only issue is they are slightly heavy compared to BSA or Awana but if everybody is starting with the same wheels this isn't an issue. The axles are hands down amazing looking in a league of their own above the others. Even look like they can be race ready with very minimal polishing prep if any. Problem is clearance. When I first saw these I had every intention of using these for every league I enter until noticing that they are between .002 and .004 thousands of an inch smaller than what you will get in other kits. They have around .007 clearance between the axle and the axle bore on average with the supplied wheels. If this were around .003 this kit would be near perfection as I currently lathe my own axles for all kits from scratch to achieve a clearance for all wheels of .0027 which is what I have found through testing to give just enough room for graphite. Even with that said if I were running a league of my own this is definitely the kit I would choose. You can easily cut out the blocks with a design and use the wheels and axles as they come straight out of the box and have a great competition without all of the headache of polishing wheels and axles which isn't possible with any other kit that I've seen.

These cars are so much better than the Boy Scout variety. Wheels are clean and without burrs, axle holes are big enough that you’re not going to split the wood when they’re inserted and you can get them back out. Price is also much lower than the boy scout store.

Just as good as the official blocks, but WAY cheaper!
