Viva Doria Activated Charcoal Powder, Hardwood Derived, Food Grade, 1.2 Oz Glass Jar

Purchased this charcoal powder for a homemade skin care project, and it works out beautifully. This powder was easy to use, is scent free, and easy to combine with other ingredients. A little goes a long way so, this charcoal powder will last me a while. Great product!

I didnt realize how great this charcoal was until I tried to order another brand that was a bit cheaper. This charcoal is great!The other brand we ordered was NOT!Trying to save a few dollars on charcoal ended up being a mistake.The other brand was not as fine and also tasted like a batch or freshly boiled rotten eggs. We all gagged when we tried it.This brand is nice and fine and easy to stir into water, it also tastes very clean with absolutely no bad aftertaste.I will not try another brand again besides this one.I can safely highly recommend Viva Doria activated charcoal.

BEWARE!! When opening for the first time (as Kandy found out), if the foil lining the top is pressurized/ballooned out AT ALL-- carry the jar outside and carefully push a fine pin through the foil to depressurize. I live at 7,000 ft elevation and am used to receiving products blown out because of the pressure changes at higher altitudes. I thought putting the jar down into a deep sink and carefully cutting a hole in the foil would be proper precautions. WRONG. Charcoal powder exploded with a loud pop all over the kitchen -- the white counters, my clothes, under my finger nails, in my nose , all over the saltillo tile floor and grout. Even the Roku and Bose devices on the island got covered and I had to wash my shoes since I stepped in it. It was the aftermath of Krakatoa.So remember, the slightest pressure in the foil liner means -- OUTSIDE WITH A FINE PIN AND HAZMAT SUIT IF YOU HAVE ONE. Now that the powder in the jar has settled, I think it will work fine. Good luck! (PS on day 2 post-eruption Im still blowing charcoal powder out of my nose)

I am returning to purchase this again, I love love LOVED it! I used it to brush my teeth several times a week, was told my smile was brighter by multiple people. & I even used it to help clear my body out! A scoop of it in my water bottle once every other day and I felt like it was a magnet for toxins. Cleared me out.

First of all, it is a VERY fine powder, so if you are a neat freak, this probably will not be for you. It is messy, but it's easy to clean up. I use it to brush my teeth. I have tried it in my coffee once, but I found it too gritty. I have also washed my face with it, I mix with my cleanser and im amazed at how bright my face was after using. I did apply all over my body, honestly, I didn't know what I was doing LOL needless to say, that was a messy adventure. I just stick with brushing my teeth lol. Keep in mind, all of the white splatters on your mirror from brushing your teeth...yea you'll have black splatters. Easy wipe off!! Overall great product and I will buy again.

So far looks good. Definitely very fine ad mentioned in reviews which I expected. I can't speak to the digestive part but did use for toothpaste and it worked well. Only disappointed the jar is plastic not glass as mentioned in review and description. I'd like to detox and plastic is a toxin I'd rather not ingest but that's the world today.I will update after trying to make face mask and supplement. I'll just add to veggie capsules.
