Works great...no programming
I have both a fairly new (2014) Samsung LED TV and a fairly old (2009?) Samsung Plasma TV. I bought this control both because it advertised that it worked easily and because it could ship fast. Both things turned out to be true. It arrived with free 2 day shipping from Prime and getting it to work with both TVs was just a matter of putting the batteries in.The newer TV I have actually comes with the touchpad remote, but this one works great even on that TV for all the functions I've tried. I really only need it for things like volume, channel, source control, etc. The basic stuff you use a remote for. It works great for all of that.This remote was slightly pricier than some others I saw as I searched, but I was OK with that for the fast shipping and working out of the box.All in all, a great remote that is super easy to set up and use.

Decent remote. Update, maybe not.
Decent remote, lighter than the original but works well.Update: Three months old and the source button is cockeyed. I don't know haw much longer it can function at such an angle. If it goes out I'll change review to one star.

New remote, defective keys.
Seven keys on the remote failed to operate within five days of receiving it, rendering the remote unable to operate my television. The balance of the keys work correctly.
