Excellent accent lamp

I love this lamp. I have two of them and they work great. And the look is awesome.

Such an adorable AND sturdy lamp! It looks amazing in our old farm house and adds a touch of "rustic charm" to our living room.

I read a lot of reviews before I bought this. Yes, it's light weight but it looks very nice. A little tricky to get the bulb in and all the parts assembled. What concerns me about this product is safety. I had to return the first one. It wouldn't light. Replacement was a breeze!! When I got the second one I waited more time for the bulb to light up before deciding if it worked properly. There is DELAY in the dimmer switch once you turn it on. This should be mentioned in the instructions. I turned it on just a little and waited for the coil inside the bulb to light up. Once lit, I then adjusted the dimmer where I wanted. Plug it in, put in the bulb, and then turn it on. I wish I would have done this before reassembling it every time I tried it in a new spot. The delay in lighting may be normal but it makes me nervous like it might be a fire hazard.

I rarely leave reviews, and when I do it's typically only for products I like. And I wanted to like this lantern! We loved the styling and we were really excited to receive it. It looks great in our house. BUT!1 - It's super cheaply made. The description says it's made of metal, and perhaps it is, but it feels more like plastic with a tiny bit of metal mixed in. The lantern is incredibly lightweight (maybe a pound?) and feels like it will blow over in a stiff breeze, or if someone just walks by too fast.2 -- Even though we were a bit disappointed by this on unboxing, we still loved it and figured we'd keep it. So we plugged it in and -- pow! -- the bulb immediately blew out.3 -- We tried for days to figure out how to change the bulb. Word to the wise -- don't toss the instructions, which show you how. (We found them later.) Eventually we solved the puzzle, and then ran around town looking for the right kind of bulb. Once we finally found one, we screwed it in and again no light.So this is going back. It is cheap, defective, and disappointing, especially for the price. We paid $80 for this piece of junk! I see that it's now available for a lower price, possibly due to complaints like these.I would pay twice as much for a lantern in this style if it was well constructed and it worked. I'm very disappointed that this one missed the mark.

I love the quality of this vintage lantern. Bonus is the dimmable feature. Make sure you are aware of the size. This lantern is large. This product is exactly what I wanted in my spare bedroom woodland-themed.
