Excellent knife!
Out of the box, no issues at all. The blade flips open VERY quickly, even before I oiled it, and fit and finish are great for the price point. I love the look of the "stonewashed" blacked blade. And the G10 handle grips very well, and fits my large hands just fine. The case is better quality than I expected. Sharpness is great. The blade is thin, especially at the tip, but considering the steel, I don't expect any problems. For the price, can't be beat.

Class Act
After looking at a lot of knives, this Baklash struck my fancy, just a great looking knife. Had never heard of Civivi, but had heard of WE knives. I have maybe twice been as pleasantly surprised with a knife that didn't have hundreds of good reviews. This is one sweet knife! It's got a beautiful handle, three planes, with a latitudinal G10 texturing on the center plane that helps with grip and feels great. The blue liners and Civivi logo look fantastic. Overall a modern, subdued beauty. The blade is an interesting drop point that makes me think more of a spear point. Perfectly centered, perfect detent, the flipper is excellent. There is generous gimping on the top of the blade, and subtle gimping on the flipper. The blade has very few markings on it, just a steel type. This surprises me a bit, although I think it looks great. I would say the Baklash is a no-nonsense gentlemen's knife. It's smooth and classy, but can also cut well, and should be easy to maintain. It strikes me as similar to a RAT 1, a very well built, attractive knife with a great G10 handle, but to me, the Baklash is an even better value. The bang for the buck is very high with this knife. It could be one of the best values in folding knives.

Very solid knife
This is a very nice, lightweight, and sharp knife. very sharp right out of the box and had a nice grip on the handle. the handle feels a little on the cheaper side but I cant complain because its a solid and strong knife.

Great knife... but no more Blackwash.
An exceptional knife and an astounding value. The same combination I've come to expect from Civivi. The little value brand that could. The Good. Perfectly executed hollow ground blade and near perfect tip design. The G-10 handle texture is surprisingly good and the knife sports hand-filling grip while still managing to look like a modern art peice. The thin-ground blade and stellar ergos allow for well controlled cutting over surprising long periods. The edge isn't perfectly polished but a little light stropping had it whittling hairs. Okay, so on to the fizz. Lately I've kinda been in love with the murdered out, all-black aesthetic on my knives. Not sure why... Maybe my inner ninja is crying out for attention. Who knows. I justify it pretending the black coating helps the blade resist corrosion and general wear and tear. This particular color combo was out of stock for about 6 months. When it came back and I reordered, I realized there was a slight hitch. No more blackwashed blade. It's still black... But it looks to be either a solid black DLC or Cerakote with no stone washing to be found. Granted this is nit-picky, even for me. After a while, the blade will take on its own unique look... and I know there are ways to stonewash a blade yourself...but I kinda wish it was already done since that's what's listed in the description and what appears in the product pic. Or it did right up until a few days after I got mine and the artwork all got updated with the new look. So...yeah...no harm, no foul. All that being said though, this is easily in my top 3 knives (owning 60+). Buy one before they go back out of stock.

Sharp.
I love how exceptionally sharp it is, it’s light and agile. I think the locking mechanism could be stronger but it does the job. The grip feels solid and sturdy, it’s definitely not slipping out of my hand if wet. Overall, this knife is a great investment and if you take care of it properly it’ll last quite a while.

Nice for a budget friendly knife!
I have always carried a name brand 3-blade pocket knife. However, I recently needed a larger blabe and was looking for something with a clip to help secure the knife in my pocket. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not much on Chinese knives. But, after watching reviews on budget friendly EDC knives, I decided to try this knife as it seemed to fit my need without breaking the bank. I'll have to say... I'm impressed with this Civivi Backlash. For me... it's the perfect size, fits well in my pocket with the deep pocket clip which is nice with counter sunk screws so there is no catching or ripping pants material. It is easy opening and has a nice tight blade with no play when locked open; and I added my own paracord lanyard to make it easier to grab and give it my own personal touch. I like the black handles and blade and I like the blue colored liners...just looks good to me. Very sharp blade right out of the box. If there's one thing I didn't like, it is the linerlock mechanism....it works fine, but took me a while to get used to it. The more I open and close it....the more I like it...plus it's nice to be able to operate it all one handed. I can't report yet on how long it will hold a sharp edge but we'll see. For me....this is a great knife for the money. I would not hesitate to buy another if needed. Plus,. I might check out some other Civivi knives now that I've used this one.

Excellent Knife
I read a lot of positive reviews about CIVIVI knifes and decided to add one to my collection of folding (flipper) knives. What I like about this knife? Love the weight and balance holding the knife. I do prefer heavier knives and this one fits the bill. The knife is solidly built and appears flawless in construction. The thing that sold be is how easy it is to open with one finger. There is little resistance opening the knife, yet the blade is absolutely solid. Now my favorite flipper knife. And the blade is extremely sharp out of the box. I can’t find any negatives about this excellent knife and highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.
