Great QI charger for an even better price
I Love this little QI charger. Charges my phone flawlessly (Samsung Galaxy S5). Seems to charge at the same rate as a regular Micro USB cable plugged into a 1A charger - not as fast as the quick charger that came with the Galaxy S5 (to be expected).I use this every day at work, have it sitting on my desk at work and just lay my phone on it when i'm not using it it. Doesn't seem to get any hotter than a regular plug-in type charger. Very easy to find the sweet spot, i just plop my phone down on it and leave it while i'm not using it. Unlike other QI chargers i've used I don't have fiddle with it to find the correct placement (sweet spot). It starts charging right away every time i place my phone on it. As an added bonus, it also charges my Moto 360 watch. There's a nice short beep and indicator light when you place your phone on it that lets you know it's charging. The beep is not too loud, just enough so you can hear and the LED is not too bright. I've used and read about other QI chargers that have a very bright LED or a very loud beep when it initiats the wireless charging - Not the case with the PowerBot QI charger. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and will be buying a couple more for around the house and possibly my car if i can find a good place to install it.Would definitely recommend.- an easy 5 star product

For newer Qi battery phones
Finally, the wireless charging pads are available for reasonable prices! I chose PowerBot over cheaper models because it is quite sturdy and is sold in a lot of major Cell Stores (For more $$, of course)Works a lot more slowly than traditional chargers, but is convenient in the right situations. I plug it in at my desk to the computer and lay my phone on it in between meetings or activities (mostly spending time on Amazon!)Biggest plus in my book is you save the amount of times you need to jam in the traditional charger in the mini USB phone port. The port has tiny connectors that can bend or become clogged with dirt -- both cases will end up in your port not working. This charger is just a plate that you sit your phone on. The plate does have a USB mini port, so potentially the same thing could happen, but I have never unplugged the mini USB, so I am not experiencing any problems with that. This charger works great for my LG G2. Should work with any qi type battery phone. If you don't know if you have the qi type battery, look it up in Google before purchasing.I do need to remove my Armor Type case and inner lining ( a good time to clean out the dust that can build up!) -- so it's an extra step before laying it on the qi pad. It appears that there needs to be little to no additional thickness between the phone and charger. My case is very thick, though, so maybe your case is not as thick. You also need to find the "sweet spot" -- which you'll know when you do because it will start charging! If your phone battery is really low -- it will take a couple hours to charge, so you need to be patient. I would give it 5 stars but the somewhat hassle of removing the case and the amount of time to charge is a bit off-putting. This type of gadget will improve soon enough though.I say: TRY IT OUT -- getting on board with the newer technology is a good thing!

Great wireless charger that works quickly!
This is a lifesaver for us right now!! My husbands phone is not able to be charged by plugging in anymore, and we were not looking forward to having to upgrade his phone early (can you say cha-ching?!)! I did a little research and after finding that our cell service provider sold wireless chargers for no less than $70, I started looking on amazon (I do that all the time FIRST usually, so I don't know why I didn't his time!). This item is small and compact, and charges my husbands phone at least as quickly as a standard charger would. The light system on the front is easy to understand (solid blue means it's charging - simple enough!). And if for some reason it starts blinking and doesn't seem to be charging, then we unplug the cord from the wall and plug it back in and it's perfect. We DID however have to buy a charging card that attaches to the phone battery but that's only because the older model phone (Galaxy S5 doesn't have built in wireless charging capabilities - nothing to do with this item!). Check out other reviews if you'd like to see which one, because it seems to work perfectly with this! Probably going to buy another one of these so he can keep one at home AND at work!

Very satisfied with PowerBot ... Whoops! In mid review, it quit?... Nope, my bad, it is working great.
It's a little difficult to get the phone centered on this for charging, but once I got the hang of it this wireless charger is great. Charging my Droid Maxx is almost as fast as the $70 from Verizon, and the little light shows clearly if it is charging or waiting. And this is a whole lot less than $70! I have been using it on my work desk for 2 weeks now and I am fully satisfied. It is also unobtrusive, not as big around as my cell phone is wide. I had a ...Scratch that. No joke, as I was writing the above, in bliss that my phone is charging so nicely, I noticed that the charging light went out on the PowerBot. My phone batter is at only 83%, so it should be charging away, but it stopped. When I lift the phone off, the red (waiting or available to charge) comes on, then when I put the phone back down, there is no light at all and no charging. Nothing. I checked the connections, and that isn't it. More later. ...I was really frustrated, kept fiddling, but no good results. But as I was putting my phone back down, I decided to try it again. As I did, I noticed that a usb plug was right at the edge of the phone, barely under it. I took that out of the way and the problem is solved. I experimented and it wasn't the plug per se that caused the problem, it was the slight elevation it created for the edge of the phone: plug there, no charging, plug gone, charging well. The phone is charging away, green light is blinking, and the battery will be back up to 100% in 30 minutes or so at which time I'll see a solid green light. Whooot!
