A great chili sauce that's really hard to find!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love my Linghams chili sauce. It reminds me of my younger days with eating fried chicken with my dad. He used to mix this sauce with ketchup! Yes Heinz Ketchup. It adds a nice sweetness that makes this sauce taste even better. I prefer the original over the "extra hot" one. You really get to taste the sauce. If you like sweet & spicy, go ahead and try my dad's version. He'll be quite happy that the world is tasting what father & son shared so many years together! I miss him still but the sauce carries his memories.

This really makes oriental food taste great! My sister even has it on her eggs for breakfast

One of the best chilli sauces
A favorite. One of the best. I've loved this for years. Sweet, tangy, salty, hot --- the flavors that one expects in a SE Asian chilli sauce. Different from the sour sharp stuff that is liked in some other food cultures, of course - like Mexican, where folks would no doubt find this sauce too sweet. Tabasco sauce, for example, is nothing like this. Even that ridiculously "famed" Cockerel Sriracha chilli sauce is not in the class that Lingham's is in. (And that sriracha sauce is way over-rated IMO and I find it puzzling why so many people go gaga over it) Lingham's is my choice for accompanying stuff like almost any fried foods, any sort of dim sum, many steamed savory dishes; and is further improved by a squeeze of something like CALAMANSI lime juice into it.

Should be more popular than plain old sweet chili sauce!
I don't know why this stuff hasn't hit popularity like sweet chili sauce?!? It's got a little garlic kick and just the tiniest essence of fish sauce I think. I know that doesn't sound appealing but in your mouth it's a party!!

An amazingly good hot sauce
I'm the kind of person with 12 or more bottles of hot sauce on my dining room table at all times, yet Lingham's remains my go to. I buy it in three packs and go through a bottle a month easily. Try it, you won't be disappointed. The extra hot is my favorite but both are great.

Different type of hot sauce
Nice hot sauce. Has a nice tangy flavor but not really hot. More mild, sweeter and thicker than regular hot sauce. Expensive. For the money, not a good value but if you're looking for something different, worth trying at least one bottle.

Don't buy if you don't like Hot Sauce
My husband's family LOVES Lingham's!! It is a must have in every single one of our households. It is the best hot sauce out there, anyone that tries it says it is so good. I am about to have to buy three more jars, because we are on our third bottle and almost to the end!! I wish we could find it in stores, but I am happy Amazon still has it.
