Must have a little know how before using this set
I bought this for my thirteen year old daughter. I had to explain the patterns and what the triangles mean but that's no big deal. Some of the directions miss a step and if you follow them to a tee you will end up having a raw edge as a seem showing. I had to read it several times before telling her to fold over the raw edge even though it doesn't say to. These are definitely not beginner patterns LOL. But she's having fun making clothes for her dolls. That's all that matters.

I didn't receive the one I purchased here, but that's completely the fault of the delivery driver. I received the delivery notification with a picture of a porch that wasn't mine. so I went and bought it from the store since I didn't want to wait for a replacement. (it cost a bit more, but still worth it). the instructions are clear and easy to follow. considering I'm usually about 25% confused when reading pattern instructions, that's a very good thing. I haven't actually made anything just yet, and I'm still in the beginner's phase of sewing, but I still highly recommend this. excellent practice for kids and beginners.

Simplicity Sewing Pattern 4702 Doll Clothes,... Simplicity Creative Patterns
I usually make doll clothes for 18" dolls but recently came across some smaller dolls (not Barbie) and hope to be able to adapt this pattern to fit the dolls. The pattern is neatly laid out and easy to identify the various parts. The directions also appear easy to follow. They do not appear complex as many of the newer pattern for larger dolls seem to be.
