stay with the good thing you've got, or try a new toy
The volume control is easy to operate and progresses from off to loud at an equal rate rate (not everything in the first 1/4 turn, then almost nothing). It has a detent at halfway. The cord is securely anchored (replaceable if you can solder). I bought it directly from Red Howler 14 months ago for $58.00 and just recently dunked it in water. It quit working, go figure, but after a 24 hour drying out it works again, but at only half is intensity. I'd by it again for $60.00, but for $90.00 I'm going to take the opportunity to try something else. It's been a great mic for me and iwouldn't be looking for a new toy if I hadn't dunked it. All I know is I get a lot of applause and I'm not that good.
