I initially bought these because of the sheer amount of gauge options they offer. I got the .090 to see if I could get better intonation with an E1 tuning. That's all I really needed from them (mission accomplished), but there's numerous little things that make these worthwhile. The thickest string tapered in width at the end, which was a life-saver because it wouldn't have fit in my tuner otherwise. They feel pretty solid and strong, but also comfortable to play. This kind of goes without saying, but just know what gauges you need beforehand, so you get the best experience.What really stood out, was the packaging. First off, the sturdy cardboard case was much appreciated since they were an online purchase. Inside, the strings came in a vacuum sealed pouch, which doesn't sound important, but meant they weren't shifting around a lot or getting exposed to the elements during transit.I have mixed feelings about reviewing this, though. On one hand, they deserve praise for treating their craft with the respect it deserves. On the other, I fear if they get too popular, their quality control might one day suffer (as it sometimes happens with bigger brands). The takeaway is that I found a brand I'd like to stick with. Gotta support the people who do more than just churn out products, because they have an old school "Made in America" thing going on. That's super rare to see nowadays. Thanks, guys.

Thought I'd give Stringjoy (first time buyer) a shot on my new custom 8 multiscale. In a word, Wow! I have a buddy that's been making custom strings for me for years and I'm spoiled as hell, but during this shutdown he's been stuck in Costa Rica. So while nothing much is going on I wanted to play around with different gauges and saw these. Honestly, I'm blown away! These strings sound fantastic! Dont know exactly what it is, but these actually "feel" even better than my expensive custom strings! I thought I was maybe being a little hasty to really judge these fairly being brand new strings and all, but day after day after day these strings are crystal clean! I've had this set on for a few weeks and probably ~30 hours of hands on playing, they sound like I just put them on this morning. Seriously! Super stable! Next I'm going to try out their heaviest gauge and see how they do? I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed! My buddy is going to be surprised when I tell him I don't need/want any more strings from him. Not knocking him at all, but these strings sound and feel like super high end custom strings and the price (don't really care how much I spend on strings) is 1/4 of the cost I'm use to spending. Bravo Stringjoy! I'm a convert! Don't change a thing! What ever you're doing its working! No, I don't get any kick backs for praising the company but I wouldn't turn them down. With over 50 yrs of profesional playing every kind of stringed instruments these are the best comercial production strings I've ever played! Pretty cool!

I'm very particular when it comes to the strings that go on my guitars. They must have the right amount of tension and be able to withstand the corrosion that comes from my copious sweating while performing. I recently performed with them and they survived the night, with enough serviceable life left in them for another round. That's more than I can say for DR Dragon Skin+, which were completely lifeless after one outing. Well done, Stringjoy.

My favorite string gauge set for 8 string guitars. Very balanced, very durable (havent broke a string yet using these in the past couple years), long life, high quality, can't recommend them enough. 🤟😁

I'm a fan, tried a different sized pack but it was missing a string. Reached out to them to replace it and they were very prompt about a response. Still within the timeline of expecting to get the string shipped but they care about their customers. These strings though.... There's something sensual about how they feel and sound. Imagine having your name called softly and then screamed in a way that gets you that good kind of excited by your partner. That's these strings. Nuff said.

The media could not be loaded. These are honestly the sickest strings I have ever played with, they feel amazing, they are wound perfect, and boy do they slap. 10 outta 10 would highly reccomend. I've always played with an 80 as my 8th but had to step it up to that 90. If you're wanting something heavy and are a metal musician, try these monsters out.🤘🤘🤘Ignore the sound quality of my phone.

I have an 8 string guitar that is NOT a multi scale neck. I wanted to achieve tunings such as double drop E & Eb tunings. This set of strings did the trick. I even tested double drop D and the strings maintained good clarity. They don’t lose tension easily and they hold the tune quite well. For the price I feel it is worth it, and I plan to purchase these strings again soon!
