This CD not only includes some of his best songs, but also incredible duets with Waylon Jennings and his wife, Jessi Colter, as well as Willie Nelson. Excellent CD...!
excellent CD...! I have been a David Allan Coe fan for many years and this is worth every penny. We recently saw Dave in concert in Asheville, NC and will be going again to his concert at the Georgia Mountain Fair Grounds the 4th of Sept 2015.

Just What I Always Expect From DAC but Even Better
This is, without a doubt, one of the best David Allan Coe albums I've ever heard. I always expect great stuff from this guy, but Unchained/Son of the South really stands out. There is not one bad song on this album. A true gem.

not bad, could be better
some of the songs seem to be mired in the eighties feel, but the other tunes clearly geared torwards the southern rock feel hit the mark.

A mixture
A mixture but generally an excellent mixture. If you ignore Coe's over the top persona and just listen to his performances there are some first class tracks especially some his self penned items. Sadly he has always been under rated but then that is part of his appeal.
