VERY fast-growing and high germination success rate
I randomly threw over 100 seeds across 3 planter containers for fun to see how many would germinate. Surprisingly, they started sprouting in just 2 days and have been growing well over the past 2 weeks. Too well, in fact, that I now need to thin them out for better crop.I tasted some of the baby leaves and they taste as expected: delicious and refreshing. To start, soak the potting mix until moist. Drop 2 or 3 seeds and space each drop at least 6" apart. The seeds must be close to the top as germination requires light to be visible. Water the dirt every day for two weeks to keep it moist. After that, the seedlings will be strong enough to continue growing with less frequent watering. Can be grown indoor and outdoor, though I found they do considerably better in direct sunlight with 6-8 hours of sun exposure.Keep an eye out for bugs... they can devour your entire crop within days. I apply some dish soap/vinegar mix onto the leaves from time to time to keep the bugs away.

Excellent packaging and quality looking seeds
I am currently testing germination success rate. I have 16 seeds currently going through my germination process. With that said, these seeds came double packaged. The exterior package is a foil lined thick packaging. The interior packaging is your typical seed packs. Seeds look quality with no visible issues. There are more seeds than any typical home grower will need. 100's and 100's of seeds. So far so good. Will return here if there is an issues with germination. This will be going into my hydro setup. Will add photos of growth and time frame as I go.EDIT1 + Photo: Germination Success! Seeds started sprouting in only a few hours. See photos. Right now sprouting is about 80% but I think it will be close to 100% after a full day. I am impressed with these seeds.EDIT2 + Photo: Transfer to rockwool. seedlings are doing well. I am impressed by this seed pack.

Lots of Great Seeds Beautifully Packed
I planted some of these little guys in peat pellets in a mini window greenhouse. It's August and really hot here in the high desert. I didn't know how long it would take them to come up, but they are growing like crazy.I'm afraid it will be too hot for them when they start to get big enough to put into pots outside. I should have waited until later in the month, or maybe even into September. That said, these are great seeds and it's fun watching the little lettuce plants come up.I don't know what they mean by "warmth" in the star ratings. Almost all of the seeds I planted came up. I'm going to have to thin them. Maybe "viability" instead of "warmth?" Also, I must admit they are just tiny sprouts at this point, so I'm not sure about the flavor. Oakleaf lettuce is usually tasty though. I'll let you know if there's a problem when some of them get big enough to eat.

Seed Needs Oakleaf lettuce seeds germinate very quickly
We live in Greater Houston area and current summer temperatures range from upper 80s to upper 90s in the last few weeks. My wife sowed these seeds in a pot and they germinated in 3 days in a covered outdoor patio. They look healthy and have been continuing to grow.We make salads frequently from May to November usually using iceberg lettuce. But we can't wait to try these new lettuce leaves! The product description says 30 days to harvest baby leaves and 60 days for mature leaves. We'll update with the taste and health of the plants when we get to that stage. So far, we are happy with the quality and viability of the seeds and the fact that it is growing well in Zone 9b in the middle of summer! There are so many seeds in this twin pack that you can certainly share a good amount with your friends and family so they can grow and enjoy fresh greens!

Non-GMO lettuce seeds! | They didn't sprout through 😞
Edit: Updating this review to a two. It's been a month since we planted these and nothing. Conversely, the herbs I got and planted around the same time are already hearty little sprouts. Maybe these were duds or maybe we did something wrong, but in the spirit of honesty, I felt like I needed to update my review.---One of our friends grows lettuce and we were super jealous. She shared her bounty with us and it was so much better than store bought that we resolved to grow our own.You get like 400 seeds (I didn't count each one but there were a lot) and mine came ready to plant, no mustiness or mold. It'll be a while until they grow but I've gotten some of these planted and hopefully will get some beautiful lettuce. 😍

Quick Growing Lettuce!
I am a fan of these lettuce seeds. These came packaged well with no damage at all coming to the seeds. They came in a foil type package to keep the seeds at their best. The seed packaging list instructions on how to sow, how much water, sunlight and the preference of soil to use. There is helpful information on the packaging about germination and growth. I am pleased to say these germinated well!My family within weeks are already enjoying the lettuce that grew from these seeds.I feel the amount of seeds for the price and excellent value.I highly recommend these and personally plan on growing them both indoor year round and outdoor during peak growing seasons.

Finally Good Seeds on Amazon
If you like gardening then I’m sure you’ve looked at Amazon’s seed offerings from time to time. Most of what I’ve found in the past had terrible reviews and I've never purchased anything but Aerogarden starters because of this.BUT… this situation has changed. These seeds were great. Good enough that I’d have no hesitation in ordering different packets from Seed Needs come spring. The lettuce seeds that I’m reviewing are currently growing in my Aerogarden and they’re doing fine. I tested other seeds using the damp paper towel method and they had a solid sprout rate.I hope this company expands it's line and keeps up its quality.
