Reliable Relief That Stays Put!
I’ve been using the Icy Hot Medicated Patch (Extra Strength) for lower back pain, and it’s become a staple in my first aid kit. The large size is perfect for covering a wide area, and unlike some other brands, these actually stay adhered even if you’re moving around or sleeping. The "Icy" sensation kicks in almost immediately to dull the sharp pain, followed by a steady "Hot" feeling that really helps relax tight muscles. I love that they are mess-free and don't have that overwhelming medicinal smell that lingers on your clothes. It’s a much more convenient alternative to creams when you're on the go.

It helps
I ordered these pain patches for my mom, and based on her feedback, they really work. She’s been dealing with ongoing aches and stiffness, and she said the patches started giving her relief not long after applying them. What she likes most is that they’re easy to use, stay in place, and don’t have a strong smell. She was able to go about her day more comfortably without constantly thinking about the pain.So far, they’ve made a noticeable difference for her. If you’re looking for something simple and effective for muscle or joint discomfort, these are definitely worth trying.

Relieves back and hip pain caused by over exertion. Stays on through the night.
I am 75, still in good health and physical condition, and tend to over exert more than I probably should. Most often I get back and hip aches when I do activities out of the ordinary and use different muscles. I am used to lifting heavy things, but most recently, I spent a day digging out weeds from a garden area and planting new bushes. I was bent over for a period of time in doing this. The next day, my back and hips ached and almost locked when I sat down for a while for dinner. Using one of these patches relieved the pain quickly and I was able to get done things I needed to do. A couple of time, I had sciatic nerve pain and got sharp pains in my back an hips. This patch help so very much to relieve the pain allowing me to carry on with my day. In the past, I have used a few different similar patches, but I like this one the best. The size is large enough to cover my entire lower back or can be applied to the side for hip pain. Once this patch is applied, the pain is totally gone within a few minutes. It feels cold when first applied, and then warms up although it's not a warmth I have been aware of. Most important to me is the pain stops and my activities are not limited. I have worn this patch all day and through the night. The next day the pain is still gone even after I take the patch off. I know pain is our body's way of telling us to slow down, but at my age, I just don't have time to do anything slower, and won't allow aches or pains to limit my activity. I would definitely recommend these patches as they: 1) cover a large areas 2) relieve muscle, back, and hip pain in just a couple of minutes 3) stay on all day and through the night UPDATE 09/11/22: When I got up today, I had a sporadic stabbing pain in my right upper hip. Although it did ache a bit, it was nothing I couldn't handle. By the afternoon the ache was worse and the stabbing pain more often. I was talking to my husband and he asked my why I was standing weird, so I told him about the pain. He reminded me of these patches, which I hadn't thought of. He put one of the patches on the aching part of my back, and the pain was gone almost instantly - literarily. I should have thought to use one of these patches sooner instead of going through most of the day in pain. These things really do work. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Nice but not perfect
These have a varying satisfactory history with me this all depends on the weather, the temperature how much you sweat, where you are putting the pad and more. If you can use medical tape to hold these in place because they can roll off or become too mushy to work properly. It also depends on where you put these pads (and, oh btw you don't want to apply this and then touch sensitive areas like you eyes or any others sensitive area before you wash your hands. Wash first and diligently before anywhere else. I use them on my neck, arms, legs chest and back. They are NOT perfect for everyone but they do provide some pain relief for me. There isn't one perfect tool which will work on everyone. Some may need physical therapy and/or pain relief meds and/or wraps/support devices. I am trying the icy hot roll on product to be more targeting to locations of pain. There are advantages to using the pads and advantages to using the roll on. The pads don't transfer the medication to clothing as the roll on will but when the medication wears off from the pads you just peal it off and wash the area well. There is nothing to throw away with the roll on. The pads require to be kept in a sealed bag so they don't all activate in air and become useless when needed so the roll on gains traction over the pads for transport and use. Having said all that, again, its all personal choice. You might need to try them all and decide if you want/need increased/decreased medical strength of one over the other or which chemical is used for one or the other. Some may have negative reaction to one over the other. You might even need to speak to your physician before you try any of these pads/roll one for me its mostly a question of how bad the pain is on a given day, what activities I will be involved in, the weather and other factors on a daily basis. I will say this again, WATCH WHAT YOU TOCH AFTER HANDLING ANY OF THESE ITEMS AS THEY CAN CAUSE LOCALIZED MEDICAL ISSUES (LIKE GROIN) OR WORSE IF YOU TOUCH ANYWHERE NEAR EYES.

Works great. I save money by
buying the large patches for lower back muscles, when I need one for my shoulder I just cut a large patch in half. It doesn't leave any residue on clothes or skin. Patch stays in place on body. Some smell of course but I don't notice it after a couple of minutes. For sore, over used muscles it relieves the pain and tightness.

Not so great
This patch works for thousands of people, but not for me. I get no relief once applied. Applying it is really tricky for 1 person if it need to go your side, back, etc. The patch easily folds over and sticks to itself. A real drag.
