Idk why some reviews say its bigger but the size of the main filter I got is identical to the oem while the pre filter is actually pleasantly slightly thicker. Its possible it will shrink over time to match the used oem one but I'm already impressed. There is only one seam for the prefilter unlike the two for the oem (more seams means less filter area). Also the design imo is better since there isnt cutouts in the main filter rubber section that leave space where the prefilter cant cover. (Check photos for the little circled triangle area open in the main filter above the prefilter, these cutouts are on both top and bottom and all along the sides as well). Overall imo it's a excellent value and I'll be purchasing this brand for my other mower when it comes time to service it.

Would I buy these again? Absolutely not. Look at the pictures of the new versus original (used and dirty) element. The sealer (foam) joining the parts of the new filter element together is nearly blocking the element on both sides it's so thick and horribly done. I'll be buying the REAL thing today so I don't run the one I bought here more than it takes the time to get a new one. A choked airway will destroy your engine. If what you bought looks like mine with the foam blocking off the element nearly all the way around and doesn't look like the original, send it right back.

Bought this replacement for the original air filter for my Troy Bilt Mustang 50 XP. The original lasted me about 75 hrs so we'll see how this one stacks up. In regards to size I would say it's almost identical to the original. Fit snug on the motor, maybe slightly tighter than the original, but pretty much exactly the same. Looks and feels very sturdy and well built.

Does not fit my mower engine, should have read the full description and not just searched by engine model- it is way too short in height to properly fit on my mower. All KT740's do not take the same filter apparently. Looks like a quality filter though- no complaints there.

I have a Bad Boy MZ Magnum and this fits. However, it is a bit shorter (depth) than the original. So far I haven't noticed any performance issues with it, so I'm guessing it will be okay.

This filter is slightly thicker than the oem filter and did not fit well under the filter cover. I forced the cover down andlocked it in and think it will work ok.

It's cheap and filters the air coming through your engine. What else can you say?

Wrong size. Misrepresented vendor info, IMO. Chinese quality. Nuf sed.
