I use these tabs for preserving infrequently used tools and hardware. All items are stored clean and lightly lubricated, and there have been no issues with corrosion. I replace the tabs once a year, more frequently if the storage boxes are opened more than once or twice during the year. I really like that the tabs are individually wrapped, and that one can cut the tabs in pieces for preserving multiple small items in individual cases.

Not a stranger to ZERUST products and I am very satisfied with the products I currently use and their performance. What I have a doubt over is how this product was shipped. All my other ZERUST products I have purchased come in a sealed ZIPLOK type bag. These were no exception but, they both have this perfectly punched hole in the bag in the exact location HUH? So I question if these things are still good or how long they will be good for. I may be overthinking it but if they are giving off a "vapor", a hole in the bag the product comes in just doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Time will tell.

I'm buying my current batch of these rust preventers to replace the previous set I had. They're supposed to last two years, so I wanted to update my existing ones with fresh models. So far, they have done a great job of preventing rust on my tools. My tools reside in a tool box in a non-climate controlled garage. This has been a problem in the past due to condensation during parts of the year. Once I added these, the problem has gone away. 10/10 would recommend.

Love these. To my knowledge this is the second bag I've ordered. "An ounce of Prevention is worth a pound of Cure", as the old saying goes. Combined with desiccant packs (those little bead baggies you see in some food and drug packages) these make the perfect inexpensive EASY solution to keeping your metal tools/firearms/etc nice and rust free for years to come. IF you want to take it even further on the "Easy & Cheap" scale - look up "VCI paper" - you're welcome!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked this product for price and star rating. That was years ago. I use these on every tool kit and safe. Vastly underrated as I live in the Deep South.

These are awesome. If someone wrote a bad review they are wrong! I go to the beach at least 4 or 5 times a year. Last fall I went down in October, and when I came home I forgot to rinse out my tackle box. I had put these in my tackle box in august. Fast forward to April of this year, I remembered I hadn’t cleaned my saltwater tackle box when I was putting stuff together for a new fishing season. I figured my box was doomed to be rusted out, was dredding getting it out, I opened it, and the gear looked as good as when I closed it in October. I contribute that to these, the only thing that has ever worked
