Great! But missing a part.
I love the idea of this. Hooked up my fly fishing net to it and then realized mine was missing the ring and male end of the buckle! Only reason for 4 stars. Didn’t stop me, I’ve got it hooked up with another ring. Don’t hesitate to buy. It’s high quality, holds the weight of the net, and retrieves it easily!

Great tool to retract my fishing net
I was mostly concerned if the spring tension would be strong enough to retract my smaller lightweight wooden net. It easily did. No hanging down after I extended it. Very happy with this purchase.The plastic clip that connects to a ring on belt could be a bit larger for easier connections but it still meets my needs.

Retriever works well.
After looking at a few reviews I chose this retriever because I saw that it should be strong and robust enough for my fishing net. I even bought 2. One for my wading staff also.
