This is a good quality charger/tester. I was able to check all of my batteries actual mah (first 4 banks only) and it charges up to 8 batteries at once. The testing process takes a long time to complete, so be patient. That being said, it was great to see how the manufacturers overrate their batteries. This helps in finding which are the good/bad battery suppliers so you can stick to the good ones.Unlike other folks here, I didn't have any issues charging AA batteries or even AAA. You just have to be aware that the charger is designed to hold larger batteries (18650 for example), so you need to center the AA/AAA carefully so they are in contact with the charger poles. Not an issue, at all.I deducted one star from my review because I believe they could have included an appropriate power supply instead of only the charger and usb cable for the price they charged. Keep in mind that you'll only be able to charge the batteries in the fraction of the amps from your USB power supply against the number of batteries you're charging. So, if you're using a regular 2000mah cell phone charger plugged to the included USB-C cable, for example, and charging 8 batteries, your max charging current will be 250mah on each battery. That means long time to get the batteries fully charged.Also, the USB-C port only works on one orientation. If you plug it in the inverted orientation, the charger won't turn on as it is not intelligent to invert the connection, so you have to invert it manually (maybe that's the reason why one of the reviewers mentioned it was DOA).I would also have liked to see a 9v battery recharge port. This would have allowed me to get rid of all other charges I have.I deducted another star because of the last 2 mentioned points, but overall this was a good purchase and I'll be keeping it.

Seems when I put various size batteries in at once the display starts blinking and no longer appears to be charging. Also, despite being rated for NiMH batteries, the smaller ones, such as AAA or AA, don't fit properly/easily and may not charge unless you carefully place the battery in the slot and ensure it is not canted to the right or left.

I ordered this unit before, and it came with a charger, but the one provided does not charge the cells (or discharge the cells) at the advertised rate. not even close. lucky to see 0.5A on charge or discharge. if you have multiple cells charging forget it. They had a budget engineer do the power design on this thing.1 star becuase they shorted me a AC to usb wall adapter--what? this thing is supposed to deliver 18A total across 8 cells, and all i get is a usb cable and left to figure out where to plug it???? i'm upset i guess.

Didn't work write out of the box! Display just flashes on & off. 2nd one I have had to return. The first one had a bad slot.

I bough this specifically for its ability to test battery's capacity. I think this unit gives best performance vs price.

Charging my 18650, that I reused from old modems battery packs, was a breeze. They will revive batteries that were discharged past there life

I liked that it works and charges via USB

This is a fantastic charger for an excellent price. I've used their products for many years and never been disappointed.
