I have numerous airbrushing needles many of which weren't protected well enough. So I searched for tubes like this to provide protection. Most airbrush needles are around 5" long. These tubes are 6" long. I merely jammed a small piece of cotton wadding into each tube so the needle point would sit into it, then place on the tube cap and voila, safe storage.

fits well in storage container I use. I have them in two sizes. I like the fact they are easy to fill and I don't have to worry about them breaking.

I have been doing beadwork since the 1980's and I have stored my beads in tubes this size since then. Most of my old tubes have "degraded" but I didn't realize it until recently. One day I changed a color from a degraded tube into a new tube, and I was astounded to see the difference! The colors and clarity were dynamic! I began to order replacement tubes, so I could see the colors. It has changed how I see my beads dramatically....These tubes are perfect.

I love Beadsmith bead storage tubes. I buy both the 3" and the 6" tubes. They're durable and the caps stay firmly in place. The 3" size holds approximately 8 to 10 grams of seed beads depending on the size and type of bead. Likewise, the 6" tube holds approximately 20 to 22 grams. I tried a different brand once in an attempt to save money but the caps wouldn't stay on rendering them totally useless. Now I won't use any other brand but Beadsmith! They only problem I've had is that sometimes you don't receive the correct number of caps. If you get a few too many, save them for the times you don't get enough!

I have a lot of beads in bags that I prefer to store in tubes because of the way I store them. I bought these because they were somewhat less expensive than the ones I usually buy. Very much a case of you get what you pay for. They are very thin plastic and the open edges are nicked in several of the tubes; the thinness of the plastic means that the tubes can also be damaged/deformed. I'd estimate that about 10 to 15% may not be usable at all, since they have been flattened out of their circular form and show creases, which means they may break or tear. I will not order these again and will buy only from the vendor I have previously ordered from and gotten both better quality product and great service.

I labeled these with the contents and have my Scroll saw blades sorted in them. Perfect size and cap fits snuggly, so no spills, yet still easy to open.
