Awesome buy.
I’m a first responder so these make my job easier. Great size and good sturdy material. Wish they were a bit cheaper but you honestly get what you pay for. Sturdy paper and the pen doesn’t bleed through the other side. Awesome notebook to have out on the field.

The highest quality. Forget the rest
I have several Moleskine products. They are the highest quality. Unfortunately there are a million imitation products out there. I’m sure they are good too. But I prefer to stay with the original. I love little notebooks and note pads and making lists n plans n ideas. Looks like I’ll be needing more moleskins books!

Rich in tradition and functional for today
The media could not be loaded. The wonderful thing about this basic notepad is that it comes with a rich cache of tradition -- this is the very same brand (well almost) of notepad used by such luminaries as Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso and famed British travel writer Bruce Chatwin. When I say it is "almost" the same brand, I'm acknowledging that there was a slight break in the chain of manufacture of this product. it was originally produced by a French firm back in the 19th Century -- it either went out of business, or they stopped producing this particular style of notepad. But the product was resurrected by a company in Milan -- but to make a long story short, it can be said that this item has a marvelous history and tradition behind it.It's also a practical item that does just what you want it to do -- it's a great notepad. The cover is hard, pressed cardboard. It has 192 interior pages that are lined, and of slightly off-white or ivory color. Very high quality, smooth paper. There are 24 pages that are perforated for easy tear-out if you want to detach a page. It also has an expandable little pouch in the back that offers some small storage of things like business cards, receipts or notes you might want to keep.I absolutely love this item. It brings with it a sense of tradition and connection to the past, while also being functional in the here and now. Writer's and artists will absolutely love this item -- would make a great gift for your artist or writer pals, or family members.I'll let me video speak for the rest of this review ...

Overall A great product
Now, I have had plenty of moleskin products, and will freely admit the quality of their products has gone down, I am not sure if they changed where they are being produced or made, but in saying that in the US, and compared to easy to get products like notebooks, Moleskine still has the market, and in that comparison are still the best notebooks you can get. In 06' I took one of these with me to Iraq with me, and used it to write notes, and ideas in. It made it through two 8 month deployments, The number one thing that took the strength of the notebook down was my own fault, putting a pen inside and using the stretch binding to hold it closed. That slowly messed with the bindings strength, I still have the notebook, just sits on a shelf now, as part of my life. Love them overall, good paper, high quality and thick. Would recomend these to anyone looking to have a durable notebook that is nice.

Perfect for a Paramedic
I work as a paramedic and like to keep a pocket notebook on my person for complicated calls, or calls where I have to take report such as ALS intercept or IFT. This notebook fits perfectly in my pocket and doesn't breakdown if I get sweaty or I'd it rubs in my pocket like cheaper pocket notebooks would. I also like that it folds up vs to the side because it's easier for me to hold that way. The paper does bleed through when using markers, of course, but I use whiteout strips to cover anything I need to remove before running over it with a marker to prevent that. I've ordered this twice so far (accidentally ran one through the wash) and I love it.

Refined
This is excellent when wearing a suit… adds class to any note taking in such a situation.

Simply a delight to own, especially for the price!
I love this notebook and I'm sure you will too. The quality of the paper is excellent, I use a fountain pen and the ink does not bleed through and the cover is well made and sturdy. The little details make this worth every penny and then some. The band keeps your notebook tightly closed when tossing it in your briefcase, or on the seat of your car and also works well as a marker if you want to quickly refer to a particular page.Unless you write like crazy and use this pad to draft a novel, you will get plenty of good use out of it for a sufficient amount of time. Even then, the quality is such that you can keep it around so you can refer back to it, unlike cheap notebooks that end up in the trash. I find this reason enough to buy this product, other notebooks end up in the trash when full and along with it goes all my notes. When this is full, I can keep it around and refer back to important pages when needed. As for the price, for a luxury item that you can use and enjoy every day, $9.00 and change is more than a bargain. If the price really concerns you, I suggest try splurging that extra couple of dollars and see what pleasure it brings you.

Feels good in my hands
This reminds me of something you would have once bought in your hometown's stationery store. I use it for a running blood pressure/heart rate log, and like that both sides of its pages are lined, as well as sewn together with thread. There is an elastic band to either keep it closed, or mark your place. I would certainly buy it again.
