Sturdy as Hell
The Hex Ranger DSLR Sling (Regular) sized bag is an awesome camera bag. The bag has 2 pockets on the back with one of them having a small rain cover for it (It rained crazy down here in San Diego this past week so that was helpful). I have had this bag for the past 5 months and it is my main carry for my lens reviews and quick trips around town to shoot. I use the bigger back pocket for my memory cards or batteries. The inside container has a red liner pocket you can use for additional small accessories and there is a front pocket outside the bag as well big enough for your keys and wallet. I keep it simple when i go out (2 lenses max) so this is more than enough for me. It is a phenomenal bag for street photography or for quick trips. If you need something bigger you may want to go for their Ranger Sling XL. This one is perfect for me, for now. It is made of what Hex calls “Ballistic Cordura Shell”. The bag feels good across the chest, it feels very sturdy to the touch and above all i trust it with my gear. Can it take a drop with your expensive camera gear inside of it? I believe so. Am i going to test that? Nope. I take care of my stuff. TAKE CARE OF YOUR GEAR FOLKS!!! This is a good bag for that in my opinion. The material between the bag and your gear feels quite sturdy as well, with a protective sponge-type material probably made to protect the gear inside the bag. This is a super sturdy 8 liter bag. It works for my short trips and the lens reviews I am working on. It perfectly fits my massive Canon 1D Mark IV, Mark III as well as my smaller cameras. Granted, when i take the big boys out i only take one mid sized to small lens. For the compact cameras i can take as many as 4 lenses if I wanted to, eventhough i always keep it to 2. Bottom line is if you are looking for a medium sized camera for your short trips this should be on your list ($60). Get it, you will love it. They have 7 different colors as of the time of this post.

The Perfect Companion for Every Photographer
As someone who is constantly on the go with my photography gear, the HEX Ranger DSLR Sling has been a game changer. This bag is a perfect blend of functionality and style, meeting all the needs of a modern photographer. Firstly, the adjustable dividers inside the bag are a godsend. They provide the flexibility to securely fit all my lenses, ensuring each piece of equipment has its own safe space. The external storage straps are another thoughtful addition, allowing me to easily carry my tripod without any hassle. The durability of the bag is noteworthy. The ballistic Cordura shell is not just a marketing gimmick; it genuinely withstands the rigors of travel and outdoor shoots. The water, stain, and abrasion resistance of the material give me the confidence to take this bag anywhere, in any weather. What I love most about the HEX Ranger DSLR Sling is its versatility. The cushioned inserts are removable, transforming it from a camera bag into a compact weekend pack. This feature is particularly useful for quick trips or when I need to pack light. The bag's dimensions and weight are perfectly balanced for comfort and practicality. With a capacity of 8L, it is spacious enough to carry essential gear yet remains lightweight and easy to manage during long days of shooting. Lastly, the design and color options of the HEX Ranger DSLR Sling are stylish and professional. It's a bag that not only serves its purpose well but also complements my style as a photographer. Overall, the HEX Ranger DSLR Sling is a must-have for photographers who value organization, durability, and versatility in their gear. It's an investment that has elevated my photography experience, and I highly recommend it to fellow creators.

Has potential to be a 5 star product
Personally I love my sling, it holds 1-3 cameras, 1-3 lenses, a portable charger, SD card case, more batteries then I need to bring with me, and anything else I’d need with me on the go in a compact bag. Unfortunately it does have a few small things holding it back. Pros: -holds way more then you think it will -durable and comfortable materials -comes with a rain cover -perfect for traveling -hidden pockets are the perfect size for a large camera battery -doesn’t stand out like a lot of slings/bags do -peak design capture clip can be comfortably attached to the strap and you can wear even a heavy DSLR pretty comfortably if it’s riding lower down Cons: -as a left handed user I wear my sling the opposite way a right handed person would, and in turn the sling is backwards when I turn it around to grab my gear, meaning I need to get it down on the ground or wear it in a way that feels unnatural to me in order to change lenses or grab a fresh battery. (If there was a version designed for left handed users it’d be perfect for me and an instant 5 stars even if it was $150) -shoulder “pad” isn’t very well padded and slips down, could totally be improved, especially since it’s a $100 sling -buckle is plastic and doesn’t appear to be easily replaceable, most probable failure point All in all, awesome edc sling, I’ll probably end up buying the mini version over the winter going into spring since my current camera is much smaller then the one I intended to carry around and don’t need as much space anymore.

I love it ! I just wish i could get the optional rain cover in Canada (although the bag itself is water reservoir)

I'm very happy with this bag. Used with a DSLR with a battery grip, had along a long zoom and a Tamaron 15-30. It all fit. I would say that you probably want to pinch the zippers so the pull tabs can't slide out, but that's more a problem with the zipper manufacturer than with Hex. But otherwise the construction is excellent, lots of thoughtful construction and good material. This is now my go-to camera bag.

I have owned about 2 or 3 of theses in the past. They tend to run forever. Found it again recently and bought it. It's perfect. Inexpensive, light and unobtrusive.
