I love these! I’m obsessed with working spf into my daily routine. These are a great low maintenance lip balm for every day, even without the extra sun protection. I was worried about a sunscreen flavor/scent, but’s it’s not bad at all. I can smell it a little at first but the mint covers it up. The texture is perfect, not too soft and not too hard. It glides on like butter and stays put for a couple hours. It’s not shiny, more like a waxy balm than a gloss. If I’m wearing a lip color I’ll put this on first and layer the color on top, it makes the lipstick slightly more sheer. I will probably buy more so I always have one with me.

For years I have suffered from lip melasma in the summers, as soon as the sun hits my lips a dark brown line forms on the both the top and bottom lips. It’s been so bad I’ve been asked if I am a smoker (I’ve never smoked a day in my life). I have literally tried every single lip balm made to protect lips I could find. This is the only one that actually protects my lips and doesn’t turn them white. I honestly can’t believe that after all these years I finally found something. I have one tube in practically every location of my home, car, bag you name it. I re-apply constantly to keep the melasma from returning. I was always so self conscious about it and tried using lipstick to cover it up but that really didn’t work and only contributed to making it worse since most lipsticks don’t have spf. This balm is lip-saving!

Seems to provide good sun protection for my lips without the nasty taste of other lip sunscreens. It's a bit pricy, though.

DO NOT BUY: This lip shield is absolutely disgusting. The flavor is horrific and there is really no way to avoid it going in your mouth. The taste gave me horrendous heartburn. It is an an absolute disgrace of a lip product

It goes on like Burts bees but not as potent with the mint.

Love this product. I have trouble with the sun and fever blisters. I’ve tried just about every sun block and this one works the best. Not a lot of flavor if that’s what you’re looking for. I think it’s perfect.
