Five Stars After a Little Work
I purchased the Rockville RPG2X15 Package PA System Mixer/Amp+15" Speakers+Stands+Mics+Bluetooth after quite a long search for a system that would fit the bill for some serious Karaoke practice for myself and my Fiancé. I love to go out and do Karaoke, but I do like to practice the songs I'm going to sing for a bit before doing in live. I used to KJ karaoke and back then, had a very elaborate, and very expensive system with a lot of top of the line gear. Definitely wanted to get a good sound without spending a fortune. This system definitely fits the bill and sounds fantastic, but first, you have to do a little work. Back to that in a minute. The system, right out of the box sounds pretty good. The amp is pretty straight forward and easy to set up and use, and I like that it has more microphone inputs than I'll ever need (8). The two microphones that come with it have been criticized, but I must say, they actually sound really good. I'm used to the gold standard Shure SM58s, used by so many musicians and karaoke shows. These mics, while not quite up to that speed, do have a very good sound. No shame in using them in a show. Overall, this is very good system for PA, Karaoke, or even DJ work. Now, here's how to make in an excellent system for just a bit more money...REPLACE THE SPEAKER CABLES!!! Another reviewer had mentioned where he got twice the volume after getting better cables. I can attest to that. I built my own cables using Power Plus 12-2 speaker wire, Neutrik NL2FX connectors on one end (speaker side), and Switchcraft 184L connectors on the other end (amplifier). WOW, it made a huge difference. The sound is much more clear, the bass deeper, and I now turn the volume knob on the amp up only 1/2 of what I used to and get the same amount of loudness. It really does sound so much more clean. So ditch the tiny little cables that come with it and buy or build some good quality cables. You won't regret it. So far, I love the system. Great deal for the price, but it's only 4 stars with the speaker cables that come with it.

Stereo is mixed down to mono
Ordered a used unit. It arrived earlier than expected which is good in some ways because “yay early!” but bad in others because “sitting outside for hours while I’m at work.”Overall things are in good shape. The cardboard boxes were badly battered but the contents were intact. There’s a minor dent in one leg of one of the speaker stands and one speaker has droplet marks on it as if it had been lightly sprayed with water and not wiped off. There are some irritations: there was no power cord or printed manual. The system mixes stereo sound down to mono. Overall though it does what I need it to do and it’s not very expensive.

Good Basic System
This is a good basic system that easy to set up and to operate. You get everything you need to get started.....Amp, Speakers, Speaker Stands, mics & all the requisite cables. The price is very good, but as with all good deals, corners had to be cut somewhere and here, it's the microphones (I'll get to those later). With that said, my next purchase included 50' XLR mic cables to replace the shorter cables that came with the system. I did the same for the speaker cables. I also purchased a heavy duty extension of 50' as well. The one that comes with the AMP is far too short. There's no guarantee that your power source will be close at hand and you don't always have the luxury of scouting the space beforehand. To round out my personal upgrades, I also purchased a couple of heavy duty surge protectors with multiple plug outlets to use with the new extension cord. You never know how a function hall is going to be laid out (especially older ones or outdoor events) and have to be prepared. My next upgrade was to replace the microphones. The ones supplied are cheap; I don't care WHAT the ad says...they are NOT professional mics. I have been in enough studios and on enough stages to know the difference. I wasn't expecting them to be anything special....they're fine as back up pieces in an emergency, but I'm used to using my workhorse Shure SM-58 mics which I already had on hand along with a wireless mic I also owned previous to this purchase. The microphones provided are not well insulated against picking up noise from just handling. I've tried them out and in my opinion, these are "at home", sing along mics. I wouldn't take them seriously if you are a singer. These are basically thrown in to sweeten the deal. One should always remember that you get what you pay for, so don't expect top notch at this price point. I also ordered windscreens. I've used this system a few times now and have been happy. It exceeded every application I have needed it for, and I'm talking sizeable Banquet Halls, Churches and other large performance venues, including outdoors . What I like is that it's straightforward...no unnecessary digital tech thrown in just for the sake of change. Your grandma could operate this without too much instruction. The digital tech that is present for the use of memory sticks, SD cards /MP3 files is easy to use and the remote control feature lets you start and stop tracks at will. I didn't need an expensive system and stuck to what I felt the best value would be that also presented the right degree of ease when using it, or setting up / breaking down. There are wheels on the back of the speaker housings and unlike the old days.....NONE of this stuff takes 2 people to handle. The speaker stands are excellent, I would suggest making the upgrades I mentioned for more flexibility....especially an extension cord and multiple outlet surge protector power strip. A small table/stand for the amp is recommended....

Good Value
Overall satisfied with the total package. I had to replace the speaker wires, the included set was not effective. The included microphones had good quality sound, but plastic was not durable enough for two karaoke shows a week, and broke eventually. The board could use a Gain option, but still very good system for the money. I do two scheduled karaoke shows per week, several one man shows myself, private parties on occasion, and loan the system to friends who do their own shows, but don't own their own system. No major issues over two years of steady usage.

EQUIPMENT DOESNT LAST, LOOK
I bought this a little over a year and 7 months to use for my daughters wedding and only used it a hand full of times since then and went to used it for my grand kids party and it stopped working I contacted the seller and they gave me the company line so I’m basically SOL can’t send it for repair so I can’t recommend this seller and Rockville amps as they don’t last you would expect it to last longer than a year and 7 months BUYER BEWEAR
