Great construction, looks, assembly & packaging
Just received this chair/stool an hour ago. Initial unpacking was great. Very well packaged. Seat and seat back look very nice. Leather smell is nice but not overwhelming. Stitching is very good, leather is tightly stretched. High quality materials from lift cylinder to stool base. When assembling the lift tube, do NOT remove the small orange cap on top of the lift tube where the saddle sits. Yes, remove the large black one, but not the small orange one (a little smaller than a dime). Assembly is very very easy. No screwdrivers or allen wrenches needed. All just push into place and once large handle screw for seat back - easy to turn by hand. Wheels were already attached, and are excellent on a rough carpet one top of concrete basement. Very stable 5 leg and wheel base, with nice hydraulic left mechanism that has a bit of shock absorbing when first sitting down. Very nice lift range from fairly low, to nice height of my basement work bench/ham radio shack. Seat back also adjusts for height and front to back. Over all a very very nice chair/stool. I recommend this stool and would buy again.

The height to which it extends from the floor
This chair works perfectly for my work needs. I use it in my profession as an ultrasound technologist. I needed something that extends high enough from the floor, that I may be above a rotund belly of a patient and still have my feet square on the ground with my gravity center, centered. This allows me to reach, if needed, while not losing my balance. The single rollers are sturdy, quiet and glide (roll) effortlessly. The back rest is a wonderful support and adjusts in height.I had been using saddle stools without back rest for years. There are many on the market and I'v gone through five in five years. Hoping this one withstands my use longer. It was advertised as leather, it is NOT. It is PU leather, which is OK, just expected leather to be leather. The packaging was damaged, as was the chair, though minimally, but non the less damaged. The company made "good" on the damage and I kept the product.I recommend this chair.I will say that for those needing a lot of buttocks cushion, keep looking. Not the most cushioned, but I am up and down between exams so not an issue for me.

A new way of sitting at your desk
If your tushy requires delicate cushions then this saddle seat may not be for you. However, if you’re someone with lower back pain who cannot stay in a traditional desk chair for periods long enough to get work done you just may really like this seat. I adjusted my seat so that my feet/legs are supporting about 1/3rd of my weight and that position keeps my lower back in perfect posture. My back pain is gone and I am actually getting my desk work done. The more I use this seat the more comfortable it becomes. Your body will learn this new way of sitting and adjust to the change.

Stylish & Ergonomic
I've had the chair for a week and I'm already in love!— Firstly, the chair is aesthetically pleasing. It's a nice camel color and the fabric feels like soft, high quality leather.— Most importantly:I struggle with thoracic and lumbar back pain, as well as hip pain. Even though I try to maintain good posture, sitting for long periods almost always ensures a restless night where I'm tossing about in discomfort because I've compressed my spine. ...But perhaps this is no longer the case? The chair came just in time for several consecutive days of sitting at my computer for long hours, working on my resume and putting in applications. While job hunting is always a nightmare, this time around I didn't have the additional burden of back & hip pain! I found that I most prefer sitting in the chair backwards, with my chest leaning forward on the backrest and the 'pommel' supporting my sacrum. The relief in the hips is especially wonderful.—Lastly, the wheels are good quality. They have no trouble scaling the bump from hardwood to rug. I've been scooting all over the place on a variety of surfaces with no issues.

Awesome On The Back! UPDATE
We received this chair today, was easy to assemble. Here is our first impression .... I have lumbar scoliosis, so I suffer from back pain. This chair not only looks high end, but it feels high end, and bonus... it feels amazing on my back, very supportive. Love all the adjustable features! Now hubby wants one! BTW, ordered it in the Camel color and it is a true Camel/Cognac color, beautiful.UPDATE - Loved at first, but after several sittings, for approximately 30 mins to 1 hour per sitting, I noticed my hips and sits bones began to give me pain. Stopped using the chair for 2 days, the pain disappeared. Started using the chair again, and the pains reappeared. Hubby even gave it a try, and had the same discomforts. So bummed, loved the look of the chair, but causes us too much pain, going to return. =-(

can't recommend
My friend got one of those high end ergonomic HAG saddle chairs and it was the best chair I've ever sat in. I thought this might be a cheap alternative and boy was I wrong. It looks great, but the saddle itself is not leather, it's cheap plastic, and the padding is minimal. Real leather saddles for bikes, horses, chairs, etc. might be uncomfortable at first, but eventually form to your body and become more and more comfortable over time. This is not one of those. I have to use a separate cushion that I drape over it make this thing bearable. The backrest does not stay up. I set it at a certain height in the morning and even use a wrench to tighten the knob and it will fall down by lunch. All to say, this chair is a cheap piece of trash. please do not buy. your body will thank you.

Purfect support.
This is my second saddle chair, and the first with a back to it. I love it. It's way more comfortable than the backless one. I'm sitting on it right now and can honestly say it supports me without back pain. It's also quite comfortably padded so you don't get a tender rear. I don't have much padding of my own so it's good that the chair has an generous amount. I would buy it again and would recommend it highly to others.
