Again I search for Helene Fischer singing "The power of Love." And it came up with this album. But the power of love is not the Celin Dion version.The music is great, that's not anywhere near being disappointing with Helene singing. On that fact alone I would buy it again.The DVD that comes with it is a totally different matter. If you wish to hear a lot of talking (in German) and very little music then it's you kindof Dvd

Outstanding voice. The English songs are very good, and the German ones are even better - and I don't understand German. I do know a great voice and song rendition when I hear it though. Of the many Christmas CD's I own, this is my favorite.

Helene and Weihnachten. Beautiful 3 disk set. 2 Cds and a Dvd also. The Dvd only plays in my Computer but I dont care.

For years now, come December, my 'go to' Christmas favourite album has always been the Carpenters 'Christmas Collection'. Karens voice and Christmas were truly made for each other. Nothing I've purchased over the years even by pop heavyweights such as Johnny Mathis , Dionne Warwick or Natalie Cole have quite matched that Carpenters magic. Neither does this effort by talented German star Helene Fischer- but it is good......very good!Disc 1 is a collection of traditional Christmas standards , sung in German with beautiful vocal clarity, lush orchestration courtesy of the RPO and backed by various choirs. Certainly 'Stille Nacht' is one of the loveliest versions I've heard and her version of the traditional German carol 'Maria Durch Ein Dornwald Ging' really is quite stunning.CD2 has some slightly more up to date 'pop' classics including covers of Whams 'Last Christmas', Mariahs 'All I Want For Christmas' and (unfortunately) the awful 'Santa Baby' but Helene performs them impeccably and avoids the worst excesses of annoying jingling bells and forced 'jollity'. I love her reflective take on Chris Rea's 'Driving Home For Christmas' and she even manages make the oft sung 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' sound somehow fresh and appealing!I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this CD to anyone who likes quality, beautifully produced Christmas music!

A great collection of Christmas songs in English recorded at Abbey Road studios with the added bonus of a cd with songs recorded in her native German.

There is nothing to dislike, Helene Fischer is probably the best female singer around. Can't understand why she is not particularly known in the UK.Brilliant CD.
