VanteciCEBERQ Hard Drive Cooler HDC-6015 (Black)

I've owned this very device (from the same mold) previously, from another manufacturer. I had two of them in my home theater PC, and when I decided to add a third drive, I needed another one (with the intent of keeping the unit both cool and quiet... and of extending system life).Note that this requires that you leave the slot underneath your disk unoccupied. This will work nicely in almost any situation I've seen, though note, the mounting tabs can potentially interfere with the "shelf" tabs the drive sits on in some mounting configurations. This is even the case in my own HTPC, and I had to mount them to the drives while already installed in the disk cages. Still, the small tabs DO fit in between the various "shelf tabs" on these cages, so I can use them (unlike most other HD coolers I've seen).They run quietly and definitely reduce the measured drive temperatures, which should significantly improve overall disk lifespan. They don't produce enough stray magnetism to impact the drive's storage, either.Note that you require a 4-wire "Molex-type" drive connector... the old HD/CD type... for power, not a "SATA" type connector. The connector is a pass-through type, so you can plug this into the cable and then plug something else into this plug (even another fan)Overall, recommended.

I was skeptical as I've never bought something like this, but had a Toshiba 10tb x300 pushing 53 C daily under load. Was worried it would exhaust hot air into my SSD, but actually it seemed to cool that drive along with it when it wasnt under load. Most I saw my SSD do , eating the exhaust, was it jump 2 degrees while installing FFXV. I have it plugged directly into my PSU through driver port and it works great. Also, surprised me it had a very bright blue LED light that I hadn't noticed in advertising.Any complaints I could have are fault of my case, not the fan. Really great affordable product.

Okay quality fan.Lightweight and easy to install.Works fine on my older desktop.Will not work on my new gaming desktop.Sound is not noticeable.

This does not work with my samsung black 2 terabyte hard drive. I don't have the 2 screw holes on top of the drive to support this. However i was able to install it in the hard drive bay below. It's very quiet and looks cool. If you have a hard drive similar to mine, you are better off getting one that fits into one of your bay slots. That would be the cleaner look. On a better note on a hot summer day gaming i sit around 34c with the vantec installed.

Lowers disk temperature to a much safer level which helps preserver it's lifetime. Does require extra space below disk drive which is usually not a problem.

Significantly reduced the heat of the SATA drive I connected it to -- What more can I say? -- This is what I was hoping for when I purchased the Cooler and it seems to have done the job.

Pretty quiet, keeps my hard drives cool and fits in hdr rack

I have a Dell Studio XPS, and the air flow is much to be desired. Next time I'll build my own-- Antec case, Asus board, etc.This hard drive cooler from Vantec significantly reduced my hard drive temp according to CrystalDisk Info. Thanks for the great product.--Rusty[...]

Sturdy built,nice connectors,fitting it is a issue,but surely lowers down temperature around 5 degrees,rendering current HDD temperature at 35℃,that too in summers (45℃) combined with my front intake fan where HDD is installed;and I also have additional chasis fans on - one intake, one rear exhaust.But the temp job for HDD is done solely by this cooler.Its price is geared up with import fess and taxes,but very few manufacturers are making HDD coolers.So stars reduced for the hefty price.If locally available,I would suggest pricing it around 500 Rs would do.

Un impacto muy limitado en la temperatura. Solo 1 o 2 grados como máximo en mi caso. De 44 a 42 o 43 grados. Cuando hubiese esperado bajarlo al menos a 40 o 39 grados.

Looks good after installation attractive blue light but it could not be installed on every HDD I think only new HDD are applicable though I didn't faced problem should provide 2 more screw for good installation only 2 screws on pack.
