Price is right
My licenses expired and cost was double of this product if renewed through the company. No brainer. Key worked great on the website and both computers renewed flawlessly.

Gives peace of mind
I work in cyber security, so I avoided using anti virus for the longest time. While I have never been breached (yet) or had my computer infected by malware, it is bound to happen at some point. Although I trust myself to keep my computer clean, I can only do so much to protect against things such as worms or malicious repositories. That is where Malwarebytes comes in to the picture. I have been using the Malwarebytes free version for around 8 or more years. This version is great, but only really helps once it is too late. The paid version (this product) offers real time protection, exploit protection, and many other things. While this will not stop every attack (zero days, files too large, etc.), this can help to prevent common ones.I have been using the paid version for about 2 months, and have only had 1 "exploit" noted. This exploit was actually normal function for what was running, but I honestly prefer it being a little cautious over it ignoring it and getting infected.I also want to point out that the default configuration is the perfect balance between security and functionality. While I personally have chosen to keep it at the defaults, there are options to increase security or reduce it. For most people, I would stick with the defaults. Finally, the pricing. This 18 months Malwarebytes license is an extremely fair price for the services provided at only $30-$40.I have seen reviews from other users stating issues with the licenses when switching to new computers or updating the computer (hardware update?). Due to the way the license works, I 100% believe there would be issues with licensing when switching to a new computer, so keep that in mind. When it comes to updates, I have had no problem with the licensing, though I have only done software updates. I would not be surprised if the license had trouble when new major hardware is installed (CPU, GPU, etc.), as I have had problems with other vendors in the past about this. The license is not tied to an account from what I can tell, but rather just to a computer. As a result, removing a computer from the license to use on another computer is likely not possible.

It works
The added protection is worth the price for both PCs and Smartphone.

Be Careful of this program!
As soon as I downloaded this one my oldest programs went black. Yes it was older but I've been using for rentals for at least 10 years. I immediately took the megabytes program off my computer and worked for several hours to try to get my rental program to work but the only way I could get it work was to restore the computer back to a time before i installed the program. Maybe I was the only one who this happened to. I sincerely hope so. I didn't ask for a refund as it said at start no refunds. I guess I know why. I really would like to have a program that would get rid of all the ads but I am very reluctant now to buy another one. Just fighting the ads!

Good alternative
I haven’t downloaded Malwarebytes yet, but I’m considering it as a backup once my Norton 360 subscription expires. From what I’ve researched, Malwarebytes seems to be a solid choice for basic antivirus protection. It has a good reputation for detecting and blocking malware effectively, with a detection rate of 95% and real-time protection blocking 98% of threats. While it may not have all the extra features that Norton offers, such as device optimization tools and parental controls, it does include useful tools like Browser Guard for web security and a VPN with the Plus plan. The identity theft protection features are also a nice addition, especially for monitoring the dark web and social media.Amazon’s reputation for reliable service gives me confidence in purchasing through them, and it’s reassuring to know that Malwarebytes offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. Overall, it seems like a good insurance policy for when my current antivirus expires.
