Are these okay to use when swimming?

I guess it depends what you mean by swimming. If you mean being in the water in a pool or the ocean, then yes, they are absolutely fantastic. Your feet are protected from the heat of the cement by the pool and from rocks, pebbles, and all the rest at the beach. If you mean for actually swimming, as in doing lengths, then I have no idea, but suspect they wouldn't really interfere unless possibly you were competitively swimming

My son is size 5 in kids what size should I get the socks

Hi Alexis, a youth small is for youth shoe size 2-5 and the sole is 4 3/8" long, a youth medium is for youth shoe size 6-9 and the sole is 5 1/4" long. The sand socks can stretch 1/2"-3/4".Ted - Vball Gear
