An excellent & detailed systems view of IoT
Provides a detailed "systems view" of the IoT field. Lots of real code to guide the student onreal-world IoT applications developed using a novel design methodology. Cloud-based backendand analysis are described in detail, as are configuration management systems using NETCONF/YANG.A solid treatment of a subject that has been subject of much hype and less substance.Helpful instructor website at http://www.internet-of-things-book.com

Essential reference for IOT projects
A great set of tutorials on the how and why of the IOT. Given that so many IOT devices have been prototyped using Arduino, Linux and Pytyon, the examples will be very meaningful to anyone developing sensor networks and applications. A must read if you are contemplating a IOT project on Kickstarter or Indiegogo.

Self-Published Book full of errors
My issue isn't so much with this book (it does have some good information), as it is with the professor who chose to use this book for our class, and based our whole curriculum off it. It is filled with errors, typos, false information, and not to mention the authors make up names for things that don't even EXIST. Then the professor forces us to write essays on these topics, that are not found in any other sources at all on the internet.

Okay high-level overview. Not a hands-on or how-to
Very high level overview. It's not a hands-on approach. The examples are too limited to execute.

This book provides a good basic overview of IoT concepts
This book provides a good basic overview of IoT concepts. The book is self published and it shows. There are several typographic mistakes contained in the book. It could use a proofread by an editor.
