Still Worthwhile
I learned a lot but it was written a couple of years ago and the latest version jquery mobile has made some of the coding obsolete. It is still quite useful and the best book I've found out there, but technology is changing so fast that you'll still need to use the jquery mobile website to actually build a working site. It did point me in the right direction and it did discuss in detail the core concepts, shortcomings, and structure, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Great Resource for Learning Mobile Website Building
This book is a great resource and caters to beginners and advanced coders alike. David clearly explains the major differences in mobile web formats and discusses the pros and cons of each. Also, he covers a bit more than just web app development. The corresponding code files are invaluable and always make learning code easier. Kudos to David for including the website and files. I also had an issue accessing the code files, but David responded quickly. It also turned out to be an issue with my ISP.I highly recommend this book!

Clear introduction
Gentle and clear introduction to the subject. Well written with good selection of external resources. Highly recommended for those who have at least some working knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Great book! Clear, Concise and easy to understand.
I think the book is very well written with easy to follow examples. It's also not packed with a lot of 'techno-babble'. The definitions are clear and concise.I also had a problem with the website but I emailed David and he got back to within a day. Turns out it's not his site but my ISP. I am able to connect on my 4G phone, but not my home network. I appreciate him getting back to me so quickly and I highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to learn HTML5.

Regurgitates information available for free on the web.
This book should be called "Developing Mobile Websites with jQueryMobile." There is very little emphasis on HTML5 or even CSS3. Instead, the book depends entirely on jQueryMobile, and all of the code, examples, and tutorials for jQueryMobile are available for free on the web. Save your money.
