Bag Strap Replacement - Genuine Leather 57" Adjustable Shoulder Strap for Messenger, Laptop, Camera, Travel Bags

My wife gave me a great gift years ago. She gave me a very sturdy and handsome leather bag. Long story shorter…recently I had to use the nice leather strap to assist with rescuing a lost dog. As I was walking the dog back to the apartment complex that I thought he was from, he pulled away and ran around a corner and disappeared. He had gone in a door that I was unable to detect with my strap still attached to his color. Saddened that I would not be able to replace the strap associated with the 30 plus year old nicely broke in bag I just let it go until my wife, the one that purchased the bag years ago, handed me the make and manufacturer of the bag. I took a chance that it may be available on Amazon. Yes, and the same manufacturer and quality as the original. Looks a little less worn but a perfect match Thank you Amazon. Thank you my bride for saving the information for so many years.

Note the leather is sewn to a nylon web, so it's not all constructed of leather, the nylon adds to it's durability but if you are looking for an all leather strap this is not it. The strap seems sturdy enough.

Ordered the worn brown strap. Color did not match the photo at all; the metal clasp broke after about 3 months. It just broke in half as I was walking-- there was no extraordinary motion or anything. This is cheap crap.

The leather strap with fabric backing is very well crafted and nicely adjustable. It is of much higher durability and function than my last leather strap and is of comparable color to the picture. For the price, go for it!

I never worried about it because I don't tend to try and ask for refunds often. But the one that I ordered had visible cuts that were hidden under the lever comfort strap, I'm guessing from whoever packaged it. Regardless the leather itself was also very dry. And I had to apply leather oil just to make it quit cracking.

Now I should preface this by saying I am not a small gentleman, being both tall and wide I tend to have issues with bag straps being too short to be used comfortably whilst slung over my shoulders. This strap is long enough I've had to keep it fairly shortened whenever I'm using it, so length wise it is perfect. The materials look great, yes it being a little better described as nylon backed would probably go along way to allaying most of the complaints I've seen in the feed back section, yes it's shown in the pictures but not all that clearly. Personally I feel especially at this price point this is probably the best way of keeping both look and function without it falling apart after a while of using it, but the extra clarity would of course be appreciated.

Good quality, looks and feels sturdy

Clip it on your bag. Put it on your shoulder. It's comfortable enough and seems sturdy. A bit "redder" in colour than on the photo.

The strap buckle from my leather bag broke around a year ago, and to be fair I forgot about it. I went to Amazon looking for a new bag and accidentally stumbled on this. I am absolutely delighted, it’s like having a new bag over again at a fraction of the price. Good quality and great value.

I've been using this strap on a vegtan bag i made for about a year. the strap has held up well, with no threads falling out or the finish on the genuine leather cracking. Please don't expect real leather from this strap though, genuine leather simply means that part of the "leather" has to be made of something that came from leather. In this straps case, epoxy bonded and finished scraps. It looks like crazy horse leather though, and for the price the fact it's lasted a year is admirable.
