The Gothic Tarot Compendium

Love it! Such beautiful art. I got the additional book just for more info on the art, but it is a clear reader if you are tarot knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys this asthetic.

Larger than I expected but I appreciate being able to see the details of the cards on a larger scale. Great quality and great book:)

I am a Gothic and Vargo fan, so expect a biased review. LOL This Compendium is thorough in its explanation, adding interest and insight for the reader. The pictures of the cards are dark (in every sense) and enlarged, a further aid in reading. Vargo has provided keywords, a divinatory meaning for each card and a short narrative. If you love dark decks with a humorous twist (imho), and want to enhance your Gothic readings, you will find this book a must and worth its modest price.

This book is exactly what you want with a companion to a tarot deck. The illustrations are great, despite being printed in black and white hiding details of the cards. The meanings are explained in depth, far more so than the little booklet that came with the deck. If you have the deck, you want this book.

A beautiful and gothic deck in every sense of the word, I could not expect any less from the master of gothic Joseph Vargo, I also got the tarot compendium which is a must for taking full advantage of this deck and in addition I bought the Madame Endora's oracle deck which I use always as a pre reading of my tarot spreads.

I absolutely love this companion book.. The cards are described beautifully and with great depth. And I also love that there is a picture of each card to accompany the writing. Am so glad I bought this intriguing book to go with my cards!!! Lilaca

I bought both the deck and book, and found them to be quite lovely. Great art, easy to understand descriptions, I've enjoyed using!
