LOCK & LOCK Rectangle Tall Food Storage Container 28.74-oz / 3.59-cup

I had never heard of Lock & Lock until a neighbor gave me some soup which was in a Lock & Lock container. These containers are marvelous! Easy to secure and easy to clean--much better than Tupperware, to me. A bit too pricey. I definitely want to buy more Lock & Lock containers, when I have the money!

Pro: I like this brand and have a collection of multiple sizes that I use for all of my food storage needs from pantry to food prep, refrigerator to freezer. They aren't clear containers, but food is visible, although I find it more efficient to use a Sharpie permanent marker pen to label the contents and date that I first opened a package or cooked it and any BBD or expiration dates directly on the container lids. These are easily removed when washed with Dawn soap or a small alcohol pad so no need for labels. I do recommend allowing hot foods like soup, roasts, etc., be room temperature prior to sealing them in these containers. They are microwaveable for brief periods of time, but leave the lids off first. Not designed to cook in them, simply to reheat or defrost frozen if you're in a hurry. I have tried a lot of different shapes, but basic rectangular shapes, either tall or horizontal fit best in my kitchen and stack best in my apartment sized refrigerator/freezer. Pantry storage containers are too large for my limited refrigerator space, but store beans, flour, sugar well on shelving, keeps ants out of opened packages, and come in handy for storing multiple empty small locking containers. Useful for small screws, nails, hooks, plant fertilizers, bath salts, whatever you need to contain! Airtight, watertight, easy to keep unwanted insects from invading and super durable. Also love that the peel off labeling removes cleanly, leaves no sticky residue behind and doesn't shatter if you drop it! Highly recommended.Con: Please don't go by the photos! Look at the actual measurements because they all look alike whether designed for ounces, cups, quarts, or gallons! The only thing that changes is the shape in photos. The measurements also differ between metric and standard U.S.A. so double check that before ordering.

Keeps food fresh with leak proof seal. Stores nicely and looks nice in cabinets and refrigerator. Very neat and compact. Also use them for storing great grandson's crayons, chalk, and his snacks. He likes going into his little corner of the pantry and taking down his stash and opening them and eating. He can see what is in them and he knows if I have it there it is okay to eat. He feels like a big guy because he can open and close the containers. So cute.

I bought this to store flour, but it is not tall enough. Will use for something else.

I love these. If you are not going to get glass storage these are the way to go. These are air tight and have a locking system on all four sides.

I'm not pleased with the plastic material ,it's not clear, it's tiny and pricey
