BLACK+DECKER Steam Mop, White (HSM13E1)

For the price, this is a nice little steam mop. It was very easy to put together. For a small floor, the little water tank probably holds enough water to get the job done. But I have a large kitchen floor, and it took filling up the little tank twice. But it's so easy, that's not a problem. It's easy to watch the water level. It heats up quickly and is ready to go. The cord could be a little longer, but for a small floor, it's probably just right. I like that the pad, which attaches by velcro, is washable and reusable. The mop is lightweight and it swivels, making turns easier. And it has a low profile. It is quiet, with only the sound of the steam going. I was damp-mopping my kitchen floor, but this mop is a whole lot easier, and I got finished a whole lot faster. My floor is probably a whole lot cleaner too! The pad showed how much dirt it got up. I think it took longer for my floor to dry, than it did for me to actually mop it! (It does get hot, so be careful!)

Very good steam mop, the price is very good, easy to use and we like the Velcro pads, it maneuvers very good around furniture, very strong steam, I added a 25 foot extension cord and that made the wife very happy, it needs a lower arm to wind extension cord but that was no problem for me, I took a clamp and a piece of band metal and added one to it.

My old squeegy mop bit the dust a couple of weeks ago, so it's safe to say my floors were filthy. I found this Black & Decker model for not much more than a replacement squeegy. It is a base model but I would have like to see a better way to wind the cord when not in use and you need to lay the unit flat to fill with water, I would have liked a top full water tank. That being said, the steam mop is light weight and easy to maneuver, The swivel head makes it easy to get into tight spaces. It heats up quickly and steam is available almost immediately. I couldn't believe how easily it cleaned all my very dirty floors, so much quicker and easier than my old mop. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend this model.

Quite happy with this steam cleaner. It does not hold a lot of liquid, and yes, the electrical cord is short, but if you’re willing to refill and re-plug, you can’t beat the price. My place is small, so it’s not a huge deal, otherwise I would use an extension cord.

So far, it works well, but I’ve only used it once. The cord is too short so unless you have nearby outlets in every room, you’ll need an extension cord.It’s difficult to get the leftover water completely out once you’re finished.The hook designed to hold the cord Seems pointless. They should’ve placed another one below so you could completely wrap it tight.And because of its swivel head, it does not independently stand up well. I suppose for the money it’s OK, but I wouldn’t purchase it again.

I got this mop to replace another brand I had for 10 years that finally died. This mop is way more "steamy" than the other one and definitely cleans better. My only complaints are : the cord is short. My house isn't very big and I can't mop one entire room without having to switch outlets, and that's annoying. Would also be nice if it had come with more than 1 mop pad.
