Surprisingly Strong – Perfect for DIY Carpet Fitting
I bought the Strong as an Ox Spray Adhesive (500ml) a bit unsure if it would actually live up to the name—but after using it to fit vinyl carpet in a small room at home, I can honestly say: it delivered. I’m no professional fitter—just wanted to lay down a vinyl carpet cleanly, securely, and without having to pay someone. This spray made the process so much easier than I expected. Here’s what impressed me: ✅ Grip Strength – Once the adhesive sets (give it a minute or two), it grabs tight. I applied it to both the floor and the back of the vinyl and pressed down section by section. It hasn’t lifted or curled at the edges at all—and it’s been a few weeks now. ✅ Even Spray, Minimal Mess – The nozzle gives a decent, wide spray pattern. I didn’t end up with any clogged patches or heavy puddles. Just make sure to keep the can moving while spraying. ✅ No Need for Tools – No trowel, no roller, no glue bucket. I just used the can, a bit of patience, and a stanley knife to trim. Job done. ✅ Drying Time – It gives you enough working time to reposition slightly if needed, but once you press it down, it really sticks. Feels secure underfoot. ✅ Smell – It does have a solvent-like smell when applying, so I’d recommend keeping windows open and maybe wearing a mask if you're doing a larger space. But it cleared out pretty fast. Tips from my DIY attempt: Do a test spray on cardboard to get the hang of the pressure and distance. Work in small sections—spray, wait a minute, then press. Don’t rush to spray the whole area at once. Ventilate well—it’s strong stuff. Final Verdict: For a first-timer doing a vinyl carpet job alone, this spray was honestly a lifesaver. Affordable, simple to use, and strong enough to hold things in place for the long run. If you're doing any kind of DIY flooring, upholstery, or general bonding job—this is a solid, reliable product. Hope this helps someone in the same boat. If it does, hit the helpful button—I’m all about reviewing the stuff that makes DIY less stressful!

Excellent.
Excellent. Just be prepared for the fact that once you have used the spray to glue 2 pieces together there is no going back!! Make sure exactly where you intend to stick before you spray.

The unsung hero of cat-proofing.
I bought Strong as an Ox Spray Adhesive 500ml because our two very mischievous cats decided the lino flooring in our rented house was the perfect place to practice their Olympic-level clawing skills. Honestly, it was like watching a live-action version of "Attack of the Claws." It was getting out of hand, and we were desperate. Enter Strong as an Ox. A few sprays in the spots where the cats had decided to launch their attacks, and suddenly—no more shredding. It’s like the floor became the most boring place in the house for them. They walked right by, like, “Not today, Satan,” and completely ignored the spots that once beckoned their claws. It’s strong, it’s effective, and it definitely stopped our little demon cats from turning our floor into their personal scratching post. Just be warned: the adhesive smell isn’t exactly a “scent of relaxation,” but when it means no more claw marks, I’m willing to deal with it. And best of all, it’s gentle on the floor, so no permanent damage. If you're trying to save your floors (and your sanity) from your cat’s destructive tendencies, this spray is a must-have. It’s like giving your floors a suit of armor—except it’s invisible and makes your cats instantly reconsider their life choices.

Cobweb style spray - be aware if you're using for craft
I was looking for a spray glue to adhere glitter to some giant allium seedheads, so I was looking for cheap and cheerful which is why I bought this. The description has crafts listed as one of the uses so I thought I was all good. Unfortunately, while this does indeed stick very well, it sprays in a cobweb fashion. Fine if you're just sticking things to other things, but if you need finesse to your end product and it'll be visible, this isn't what you want. I've added a photo so you can see what I mean. There's no mention of the spray pattern in the description so I just assumed it would be a fine mist. I can't fault the actual product, but it would be helpful if the description made it clear that you cannot use this for any craft where the glue is on show and needs to be neat. Although, it would be great for Halloween as it absolutely does look like cobwebs!
