"I Used To Play Piano." I'm sure a lot of people can say that; but many of us lost the skill over the years.This is a great way of regaining your skills. It begins with the most basic tests, to see how much you still retain. Depending on how far you get in the testing, you can begin relearning what you've lost. So the first test is just basically seeing whether you know the notes on a staff. It builds up from there - sharps and flats, key signatures, time signatures, lengths of notes, and so on. Wherever you get stuck, you go to the corresponding page in the book, and begin anew.This book comes with a CD. At the moment I haven't tried it, because I don't have a CD player. It seems, though, that the CD would be a good addition to the book.All in all, I am quite happy with this purchase.

This book offers a nice selection of songs from fairly easy to a little more challenging, for the early intermediate player. I'm really enjoying this book for its selection of fairly easy but very relaxing songs. I primarily use this book after working on assignment pieces that are challenging, from the adult lessons books. I have found a handful of songs in this book that I'll wrap up my practice time with as they are slow, easy, and very calming to play. I've also found within this book many other selections that I look forward to playing as well. All in all, this is a nice book to own and play from.

I love this book! I've received it 4 days before I get my keyboard. I can't believe how much there is torelearn. But I have time and plan to be ready. One side note - you can find the CD attached to the book on the very back side. You'll get actual lessons that help trigger your memory. I'm 77 yrs old and haven't played since I was 19. This book will help anyone that WANTS to play the piano again.

I loved the fact you can take a quiz and know where to start the book. It has great music and also theory and basic scales, etc for refresher.

My daughter and I took piano lessons together years ago and she saw this book and asked to borrow it. I had to replace my copy. This is a great book for any adult who wants to refresh their piano skills. It is not designed for a beginner who has never had lessons. I can't recommend it enough! It is very organized and moves ahead at a gradual, but constant pace.

This book allowed me to brush the dust off of my fingers and ease back into piano playing again. I'm pleased to know that I still got it! 😄

Great book! Book is easy to read and play. I can play right away as I've had many years of piano and the amount of teaching material is excellent for me-not too long but a good refresher of what I've learned. I have brought other piano books and some are either too easy or too hard. If you have had a number of years of piano and have some understanding of music theory (took several classes of music theory in college), this book will serve you well. It's been three months since I've had this book and I'm already half way through it and remembering a lot of what I've learned in the past.

I am now practising regularly and really enjoying playing the piano again. The CD with the book is a bonus and has made it all much more fun and i feel like I am progressing which is always good.

Love the music in this book plus it is great to be able to play with the cd background music, good for my timing issues as you need to keep in time with the music.

This is a clear, fully explicit tutorial that is an ideal tool for resuming learning after a long neglect of practice.
