Excellent Fork, Extremely Light
Let's face it, you're looking at this set because you're either fanatic about lightweight, or don't want to pollute with disposable plastics. Either way this set is your right pick. These are extremly light, quite strong, and clean easily. Of course, the drawbacks are that they will melt if exposed to flames, and don't cut as well as metal. The fork is the best. I've been using a set of Coghlan of similar ilk for several backpack trips over the years, but a few years ago they changed the fork design for some reason (likely cheaper to make). The Coghlan fork tines are no longer toothpick shaped, they are spade shaped and square tipped now, which is okay for scooping but a big fail for spearing. The tines on this GSI fork are pointy, sturdy, and work well for all pusposes. The spoon is large which is good for adult men, or for serving. If you are looking for a child's set or for an average to petite female, I recommend one of the wheat straw type sets common on Amazon, which seem to be uniformly smaller. The knife is just average. It cut tender meat well, but balked at tough meat and grisle. It might be improved using a fine round diamond sharpener (such as Sharpal), the kind made for serrated knives; or maybe using a rat tail hobby file. No comparison here to metal, and by the way, the best plastic knife is made by Humangear in the Gobites set. This GSI set costs about half of that one, and the fork and spoon are frankly better. A solidly utilitarian full set of utensils with minimum weight, affordably priced.

Durable cutlery!
I'm not a hiker, but I appreciate a good set of plastic cutlery that's durable and has heft to it. I'm autistic and can't do metal silverwear, so I picked these up to try- and immediately liked them. They have a good heft to them, the texture is nice, and they're not too heavy. The spoon is a bit big, but it'll make a perfect soup/cereal spoon! The ring that hooks them together is very durable- I mistook it for just another plastic loop and tried to cut it with scissors and it held up.

Great set of camping utensils!
Perfect for what I needed! I don’t like the ones that have the case and these fit great in the car or travel snack bag! The loop allows me to attach it to the bag and never lose them! Very sturdy for plastic and functions great! Went with the darker look this time and like that a little better.

Sturdy but "white" is light grey
I bought these to go with a picnic set so when people visit my cabin we can use these and not disposable utensils. Unfortunately I don't like the grey, they are not appetizing and don't coordinate with my set. Other than that they are a good set.

Love these
Love these for my camping set. Only bought these because I lost a spoon and fork. The rest of my kit has been going strong for 16 years.

They've replaced my metal silverware!
1st - Very lightweight, but realistic size (spoons are better size than my old silverware ones). 2nd - The knives - just plastic? yes, but they cut so smoothly and well. Again, better than my metal knives. 3rd - Durable - I've had soups, and steaks and potatoes and lasagna and burritos and I could go on... Hot food and cold food (don't forget the ice cream) has not bent or mis-shapened them! I now own 5 sets and plan on getting more (I even keep 2 sets in my backpack at all times for when I'm at work)!

It's the actual set that goes with the Cascadian kit (beware other sets).
I bought this and another GSI Acetal cutlery set (to get additional colors), but the cheaper one was a joke. Small and delicate. This (and the original light grey set) are the same. Unfortunately, there are only two colors, and we have several in our troop that use this 'mess kit' so the silverware is all over the place and sometimes "mis-placed" (I've lost two spoons - don't know why just spoons). I ended up buying a separate Cascadian set just for the silverware (it's only $2 more then the silverware set). However, I'm buying this darker set to hopefully set it apart. I like these silverware, functionally. The function and clean well. They aren't the lightest for sure, but not a huge weight penalty if you aren't a gram-weeny. We don't do through hikes, so it isn't as critical to be sub-10, sub-15, since we max usually go 5 miles. Otherwise, I'd try to find a set of "human size" titanium utensils (they all seem quite small - don't know why they have to go that far - not everyone tries to squeeze them into their cooking kits...).
