A little learning curve but great toy
I got this for my daughter when she was 9 months as she loves to smack things and especially loves music. For the first couple of weeks I had to hit it for her because you do have to hit quite hard for a baby and right in the center but once she got it she has loved it and plays with it almost every day still at almost 15 months old.She hits it very hard now and it is very sturdy and still looks and works perfectly. The music isn't too loud and the lights are so entertaining for baby. Highly recommend.

A favorite toy in our house
I just received this, but it is the second drum we've owned. My first child had one that we got from a toy store when they were going out of business and she used it all the time. She danced to the music and got really good at hitting it. It came with us everywhere and kept her entertained and quiet in the car (and she HATED being in the car). Needless to say, there were many times I would open the door and the drum would come crashing down to the pavement, and except for a few scratches, the drum would be fine. Also, the fact that I allowed this in the car for extended periods of time should tell you the music is fairly tolerable haha. Anyways, eventually after falling to the ground for the 50th time or so, the drum broke. She had outgrown it anyway. Now we have another young child so I ordered a new one for her to use. The oldest still plays with it! She'll show it to her sister and talk to her about the colors or dance with the music. It's so cute and it entertains them both for a while. It's worth every penny and would make a great gift

fun little drum
The media could not be loaded. i got this for my 9 month old for christmas because she loves to bang on stuff. it’s a hit!! she loves looking in the mirror and seeing the lights while also tapping the drum and hearing the music. the lights aren’t too bright and we love how interactive it is. there’s multiple settings as well. it seems durable as well!

Very sturdy.
The lights and the music are fun, it has a high and low volume, and the low volume we like better. Main concern was whether it could be broken. And it is very sturdy. I don't remember the age recommendation, my grandchild is 5 months. Just guessing but I think a 12 month old would like this but would quickly outgrow the interest in the lights and music. We will be looking in another 3 to 6 months for a normal drum that is sturdy and a keyboard.

Great Toy for my 6 mo Old
Love this toy. Once my daughter was able to sit up I wanted this toy. Its a little too tall to be enjoyable during tummy time, but it would work fine if we were holding her its just not as fun. She is in her "wave my hand and unknowingly slap everything" fase. So we got her this drum and its super cute that she bangs on it. It obviously not a real drum so its not loud or anything. It counts her hits aloud and has cool lights that make the drum inside look endless. I lilke that the mirror in the middle underneath the bangable plastic or whatever it is, is a real mirror. So she likes looking at the baby inside the drum and gives her kisses. A lot of mirrors we have in baby toys are just reflective enough to warp her face, not a real mirror she can see herself through. Overall love this toy

Great little drum
My grandson absolutely loves this drum. He can make music by drumming on it with his hand which he learned very fast and with the music comes cool lights. He can also look at himself in the mirror on the drum top so that was a huge plus. He plays with this often and it keeps his attention for quite some time. It is also easy to clean with a damp cloth!
