East Frisian, Loose tea in 4 Ounce tin

Great tea like they drink it in East Frisia, Germany. Try it with a piece of candy sugar and a teaspoon of Heavy Whipping Cream.

Good tea, great aroma, nice body, a bit on the tannic side but overall still lovely. A little more "bite" than your average black tea.Great for the traditional East Frisian tea ceremony with the cream and kluntje. Great mixed up in the English style too. A good addition to the tea cabinet, but not life altering.B+ - nothing too amazing, nothing bad either.

I enjoy this tea. It is on the malty side, with a strong assam influence. The tannic flavor is more pronounced than other assam blends I have had. There is a definite not-assam (maybe darjeeling or keemun?) influence in this tea that seems to mute the maltiness a bit and add a different sort of flat woody flavor that goes along with the dry tannic flavor. It's not very floral at all. It stands up well to sugar and milk, as I like to drink my tea. It's not my favorite assam blend, but it's really quite good.

Had East Frisian tea while I was in Germany and loved it. This is good but not exactly what I was looking for.**Edit**After trying several other East Frisian teas I have to change my rating to 5 stars. This tea is probably the closest I have found to what I had in Germany. I do really like the taste and will be ordering it again. I would definitely recommend it.

This tea is strangely addictive. I find myself reaching for it again and again. It is rich and malty but not bitter. I will always keep it on hand.

This tea is strong, for me, need to use less to make it great. Love it.
