Limpie faros con agua y jabon2. Proteja pintura del vehiculo con cinta3. Lije completamente cada faro de un lado a otro con lija 500 para remover mancha amarilla y defectos. Reemplace la lija dorada si es necesario.4. Limpie cada la lampara con paño seco. Debe quedar con apariencia brumosa pero uniforme.5. Ahora use la lija 800 de un lado a otro para refinar el lijado que hizo con la lija 500. Reemplace la lija blanca si es necesario.6. Limpie la lampara con un paño hasta asegurarse que esté limpia, sin polvo.7. Ahora use la lija 3000. Humedezca el faro y la lija 3000 con agua usando un aspersor y entonces haga un lijado húmedo, de arriba-abajo.8. Limpie residuos de la superficie pulverizando agua en el faro y seque con paño seco.Al final del proceso de lijado los faros se ven lisos pero aún algo brumosos.Una vez que se haya completado el lijado, aplique el producto 3M Quick. Para ello, saque la toallita del paquete pero no la despliegue.Aplique lentamente el recubrimiento utilizando el borde de la toallita y haga pasadas superpuestas en sentido horizontal, de izquierda a derecha.Aplique la primera capa a ambos faros y deje secar por 5-10 minutosAhora aplique la segunda capa a ambos faros y permita 1 hora de secado

I was skeptical about trying a headlight restoration kit, but the 3M Ultra Headlight Restoration Kit exceeded my expectations! The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the process was straightforward.After using the kit, my headlights look like they’ve just been replaced! The cloudy, yellowed appearance is completely gone, and they’re now crystal clear with a beautiful shine. The included sanding discs and polishing pads made the process much easier, and the result was a professional-grade finish.The best part is that it only took about an hour to complete, and now my headlights are brighter and provide much better visibility at night. I’m extremely happy with the outcome and would definitely recommend this kit to anyone looking to restore their headlights.

I was apprehensive to use this because I didn’t want to damage my headlights. It was for a 2009 that had a lot of yellowing. I was surprised how easy it was to use took me about 45 minutes including masking each headlight and cleanup. The headlights were so bad anything would be better but the end result was definitely more than satisfying, especially for the price. The pictures do not do justice to the results. The headlights look almost brand new. I intend to use this again on another vehicle, at 18.00 it’s more than worth it.

My 1999 Ford F150 headlights were getting pretty bad. I drive to work in the dark and I was noticing that the light was really dim. I checked out reviews on several different restoration kits and watched several videos. I was comparing kits from Cerakote, Meguiars and 3M. I liked that the 3M kit has discs and the tool for a drill. Why do it by hand if a drill makes it easier. The better kits include a fluid that you finish the headlight lens with. That seems to be the 'magic sauce'. The 3M kit was about 25-30% cheaper that the hand sand kits.Simple steps:1. Clean the headlight.2. tape off the area around the headlight (3M includes the tape) Don't be cheap, double up the tape both deep and wide.3. Dry sand the headlight with the 500 grit sandpaper disc. Take your time and be thorough. It should all look even and smooth.4. Dry sand the headlight with the 800 grit sandpaper disc. Take your time and be thorough. It should all look even and smooth.5. Wet sand the headlight with the 300 grit disc. Use plenty of water. While this appears to make it look almost clear, the lens is still a bit hazy or foggy. You should not see any scratches, mars, etc.6. Remove your tape and clean the area up well to remove all dust and water from the lens and surrounding area.7. The 'magic sauce'. Open a single packet with a wipe inside. DO NOT unfold the wipe. Carefully wipe the edge of the wipe across the headlight is horizontal strokes from top to bottom, overlapping each stroke by 25-50%. Cover the whole lens. Repeat this using the SAME wipe for the other headlight.8. Wait about 5-15 minutes and open the second wipe and redo both headlights with the 2nd wipe.My headlights turned out really good. Not bad for a 26-year old headlight. I learned to be careful with the wiping part. Don't press too hard. It should look wet, but barely. No bubbles or excess fluid.So... Why 4 stars? The tool that holds the discs is pretty cheap. By the time I was finished with the polishing, the foam on the disc was splitting and cracking. I doubt it would have lasted much longer. I also would be nice if they gave you more than one 3000 grit disc. Mine was pretty close to worn out and my headlights are smallish.All in all, I would still choose this 3M kit over the other kits that hand sand the headlights. The magic sauce was where the final results really showed.
