Best Butane I have ever used
I saw the other reviews here and decided to give it a try. I had 2 Xikar lighters sitting on my desk to be sent back to Xikar for repair. Both had problems with the flame. You could turn the flame all the way up and one had a flame so small that you couldn't even begin to light a cigar the other would spit and sputter if it would ever light. Both had been filled with nothing but Xikar's own butane ever since I got them. Both tanks had been bled several time and were empty and ready to be boxed and sent in for repair. The Vector came in and I thought I would give it a shot in the two lighters that I knew were having issues. On the first refill both lighters start working fine. Almost back to the way they did when I purchased them new. I am anxious to see how the perform as the Vector becomes the only butane that I am using. I highly recommend this. From now on it will be the only butane I will be using in my lighters.

Good Stuff
I bought one of those fancy "survival lighters" that can start a fire in 80 mph winds and it highly suggested using quadruple filtered butane. So I was happy to find quintuple filtered butane on Amazon at a reasonable price. From what I understand this stuff can help clean out your cigar lighter or torch that may have become clogged by less filtered fuel. I haven't had to do that but I would like to hear from someone who actually has done this. Anyways, this seemed like a good deal to me for good quality fuel that won't cause my camping lighter to clog while in the woods.

Does Its Job Well
I have a butane lighter that I was about to throw away when I read that some lighters have problems with inferior fuels. I was using Ronsonol, which I had thought was a good fuel, but I had read differing opinions on that brand of lighter fluid. I only use my lighter to burn paracord ends or to light tinder for camp fires so I do not use it very often, but when I do, I tend to ignite it many times for several seconds at a time. My lighter would light up fine the first several times I used it and then it would light up for a half second and go out. I had to have a backup lighter handy because of this. I read that getting a high quality fuel would fix this problem so I went with the Vector fuel, which seemed to be the best quality I could get. I emptied the Ronsonol out of my lighter and filled it up with the Vector fuel. I then put my lighter to the test, lighting it dozens of times, keeping it lit for 10-20 seconds at a time. It didn't fail once. In fact, it lit every time I pressed the button. This fuel put new life into my lighter. Now if only I can find some Vector gasoline....

Deserves the raves it gets!
This is my first use of "quintuple refined" butane - and I have to say, so far so good! My multi-flame torch lighter seems to thrive on it - no clogs, superb outdoor burning. And it lasts pretty long too. Don't be scared off by the moderately high price - you get a LARGE amount of this product for your money (check the cost per ounce vs others) - and it really is high quality.

Simply amazing. A new believer.
This stuff is just amazing. Like others before me, I was incredulous as to how in the world a different butane fuel could improve lighter performance. I assure you - it is truly remarkable. I bought 2 brand new Executive Xicar lighters for my girlfriend and me on Amazon and filled them with Ronson. Gave her the best working one and took the one that started one out of three times. Hers continued to work fine. Within 2 days, mine died dead - would not light. After finding this Vector 5X filtered fuel and reading the reviews, I decided to try it out before sending my Xicar back for a replacement. Turned the lighter up to max and purged it, filled it with Vector, and 2 clicks later, it lit and stayed lit. Ever since, it lights on the very first click, EVERY TIME. My GF and I stood there in amazement. How can this be? Fabulous product. I will use nothing else from now on. Other stuff is in the trash.

vector quintuple refined butane
As an avid cigar smoker, I have purchased several butane torch lighters over the years. I have always used quadruple refined butane which supposedly contained no impurities. After reading an article on lighter maintenance in a cigar magazine, suggesting that nothing less than quintuple refined butane should be used, I purchased the vector quintuple refined butane. I had a couple of lighters which had stopped working. After flushing them, I refilled them with the Vector butane. After a few strikes, they were working perfectly again. Great product. Made a believer out of me.
