16-Cup Rice Cooker

Easy to clean, cooks any amount of rice perfectly and doesn’t take long at all. Very easy to use as well. Very smart rice cooker I love it!

Love love love this. So easy to use, and once it done the rice stays warm . Great product to have if you eat alot of rice. Also would be great for kids going off to school because you can steam you veggie while making the rice. .

I bought this on Black Friday. It is a quality simple rice cooker/steamer. Standard "Cook / Heat" switch. Automatically switches to "Heat" when the cooking is done. The inner rice pan is ceramic lined so the rice doesn't stick as it can with steel or aluminum. It does a fine job of cooking rice (I recommend a little bit more water than in the recipe book). If you're cooking a smaller amount of rice you can put the steam tray in the top and add some meat or veggies and cook an entire meal at the same time. It comes with a "rice measuring cup" (smaller than a regular cup) and a rather nice, well-made plastic spoon. You can also use this to cook soups, stews, oatmeal or similar items. I'm pleased with the purchase.

I haven't had a Black and Decker product for awhile, I know they are reasonable in price and quality can be fine.... longevity is sometimes a issue. I really like the Black and Decker Rice Cooker. It works just fine, cooks fast amd hasn't been inconsistent. I've used it like a small hot boiler/cooker and plan to keep trying more stuff in it. To be exact I've basically cooked only rice, but also pasta and chicken wings. Plus I've done rice casseroles; beef bouillon, cream of mushroom out of a can, garlic rice, quick jambalaya, butter milk w/ italian herb(rice-a-roni in the past called it creamy italian) and even made a reduced mushroom medley confit as a sauce prior to making some plain rice. I've used it a decent time now and I've also gotten off track. I got the thing for $19 on sale....I think some of the best sale prices you can get for a similar size is $12-15 range... those prices doen't happen often and $19 was good. Last things are the size is fairly small, best for a single person really. If your cooking for more then 2 definitely think about getting a larger size. You might want a larger size anyway since it is still basic and fairly small. My only other concern is longevity as I mentioned before sometimes Black and Deckers are known to not work for the long run. Ill have to see.

Does as average good job with cooking rice and other dishes. I use it quite often to make rice and lentils. Lid fits well and so far it keeps on trucking. No complaints here

Lo que más me gusta es lo sencilla que es de usar; solo presionas un botón y ella hace todo el trabajo, avisando con su luz cuando el arroz está listo y manteniéndolo caliente sin quemarlo. La tapa de vidrio permite ver el proceso y es muy fácil de limpiar. Es el tamaño ideal para la cocina y funciona de maravilla para quienes buscamos rapidez y consistencia en nuestras comidas.

I purchased this to replace one I had used (of a different brand) for nearly 20 years. The finish on the bottom of the metal bowl the rice cooks in had begun to scratch and come off, so I felt for health reasons it was probably time to replace it. I loved the simplicity of my previous rice cooker, and looked for something similar. Overall, I have been happy with this purchase so far. I’ll detail a few of the pros and cons below, but I think I would purchase this again. Pros: *The rice is consistently cooked perfectly, and tastes great. This is the most important thing, and why I would purchase again. *The warming feature works well, and indeed keeps rice warm once it finishes cooking. So far, our rice has not dried out with this feature, but we also haven’t had to keep it warm for more than an hour or so. *It is fairly easy to use. The method of water measurement has been a little different from my previous cooker, which is taking a little adjustment (I have to consult the manual each time I use it to remind me of ratios), but once I get my ratios it only takes a few seconds to get rice cooking. I wish they would print ratios on a sticker and put it on the cooker, so I didn’t have to consult the book each time, but I’ll learn the ratios eventually. Cons: *This may just be the difference of buying something 20 years ago vs today, but the quality is noticeably less than my previous cooker. The plastic and metal on everything feels thinner — not as substantial. The serving paddle feels like a thinner plastic — only slightly thicker than what I would consider disposable plastic serve ware. It doesn’t impact the results with the rice, but I do wonder if it will impact durability and longevity. I do not expect that this cooker will last 20 years like my previous one. *This may be a silly gripe, but the serving paddle on my previous rice cooker was designed to rest in the handle on the side of the cooker, and I didn’t realize how much I liked that feature until I didn’t have it. It was great for serving to a crowd without having to set the paddle on the counter. While I technically can put the paddle in the handle of this one, it is clearly not designed to rest there, and one would have to touch the part of the paddle that comes in contact with food to remove it from the handle. Not ideal in a crowd. But, it still works. Like I said, overall I’m happy with the purchase, and if you’re looking for a solid rice cooker, this is a good option. I’m just putting the things in this review that I would have liked to note before ordering.

Tamaño perfecto, nada se le pega, me encantó y el tiempo de cocción si le pones pocas tazas es rápido, le puse arroz para sushi, solo dos tazas y en menos de 15 minutos ya estaba cocinado, muy recomendable

Por ahora solo la he utilizado para preparar arroz, ya que tiene otros usos. Muy fácil de operar, y el arroz, perfecto! Muy satisfecho con mi compra.

Una pena esta marca, ya no confio en sus productos, compre dos veces la misma olla y dos veces no duraron trabajando ni 4 meses. decepcionante. El mismo modelo

Su uso va ser conforme hagas pruebas de ensayo error ya que el manual da instrucciones que al hacerlas por lo general no salen así. Es fácil de limpiar.
