I did have a Ducati gate opener, but had major problems: the external control box wasn't rainproof (!!!) and the gates didn't close with any tightness, so moved about in the wind. The CO-Z gates, however, have a better and easier to install control box and when the gates open and close, they are much more solid. They can't be opened by just pushing, making them much more secure. Excellent product. Highly recommended. Cheaper than Ducati, too.

Installed and working without too much fuss initially. I was initially alarmed that the pistons spin round forcefully at the end of their travel, thinking this would damage the motors or my gates. The seller wasn't helpful in responding to my query, so I installed them anyway and that wasn't an issue initially but now the rotational force has broken my gates. I am making larger metal brackets for the gate attachments (200 x 50mm and 4mm thick steel). Previous metal brackets I made with thinner metal could not withstand the force. Note that the VR1 and VR2 controls should in theory reduce the amount of force used to determine a stop but they don't seem to have any effect, and this force is really excessive for wooden gates. The instructions aren't up to much, you need to take your time and work it out for yourself, but there is nothing overly complicated. I can't state enough that substantial fixings to your gates and posts are essential!! Only Co-Z branded additional remotes work (£16 each) The kit is satisfying once working properly, and recommended, excellent value, but it is also a little infuriating.... Better instructions and customer service would have got a 5 star review.

These took a while to fit as my gates and hinges are both behind the gate pillars. However after working out where I needed to mount them ( this configuration is not covered in the instructions) , i fitted them and they work great. Fixings all seem solid and well made.

As mentioned before these are very powerful and ripped the screws out the wooden gates on the first few attempts. I am very happy with these but did make some additional plates to mount the end brackets to help spread the force and then as others have said, extended the openers fully out to where the gates are fully open. This goes against the manual but if you don't do this the openers keep trying to open and rip the brackets off. VR1 and VR2 don't seem to make any difference to the force.

Spent two days fitting my kit , finally works faultless . What I learned . There is no way to adjust limits , you need to adjust the one screw so it drives against mechanical stops , you need to back it off has much as you can or it overloads rams . But if you back off to much the doors open again . My gates are steel and I welded the brackets on , your set up needs to be very strong for this no stop system to work has it needs to feel a load then after afew seconds stops / cuts off power . I’m no pleased but this stop set up had me scratching my head and ready to order a more expensive make . I will prob buy another set now I know how to set them up .

Good quality at reasonable price. But failed to work after 12 month. Fuse on control board blowing. Contacted seller , replied instantly but not with any positive response. I asked if they supplied just new control boards to replace , but they don't and didnt offer any other way forward. Luckily I've a bit of electrical knowledge so found issue, replaced a faulty diode for pence, as only other response I read was buy a whole new kit again at full price.
