Best compact backpack, durable and functional
I typically don't write reviews but this is well earned. I am a smaller woman (5'1) and finding a professional backpack which doesn't make me look like a child is hard to come by. It is big enough for my laptop, water bottle, coffee mug, notebooks, chargers, snacks, and other miscellaneous items.I have had this bag for easily 6+ years now and it looks, functions, and feels the same as when I bought it.I am not easy on this backpack, I am an engineer who is frequently out to jobsites. It has been lugged through weather conditions, thrown, fell off ladders onto mechanical room floors, traveled 1000s of miles through airports - you name it.I would buy this bag over and over again, but lucky enough I won't have to buy many with how durable it already is. I'm sincerely debating buying one more new one to keep in a closet for when this eventually is time to be retired.

Nice features!
Good bag, but it is small, hence the mini name. I am a larger statured man, and it didn't feel quite right on me. This bag would be perfect for medium to smaller framed people that don't need a giant bag.

The best existing backpack
It is the best backpack I have ever bought. I bought it for my son, but then I liked it so much, that I ordered similar for myself. It is perfectly crafted.

Nice little laptop backpack, but not quite perfect
I recently took this backpack on a trip to New Zealand. It performed admirably. Its components are of the highest quality. One thing I would like to mention is that during my trip I went through airport security check on 4 separate occasions and on all of them they did NOT want me to open up the backpack along the zippered opening that splits it into two halves, which is the signature feature of this backpack -- presumably to allow easy check of your electronics. They seemed to be geared toward simply scanning the entire backpack with their X-ray equipment.I agree with the comment someone else made about being careful about how you zip this particular compartment. If you zip both ends up to the top there is a distinct possibility that the zipper will gradually work itself open and the contents of this section will spill out. Not good! I always zip both ends down all the way to one side.In summation, I would love this backpack fully and completely if it had two separate internal compartments rather than the zippered feature that splits it down the middle. I find myself fighting with this feature and this is why I deducted a star from my review.

Big
Was a bit bigger than I expected. Gave it to my son he definitely will put it through its paces

Fantastic carryon backpack
Just completed my first trip with the Swiss gear mini. It's perfectly sized for carry-on, and unlike a larger one, at 16" it doesn't extend beyond telescopic handle of my rollaboard, and with the dedicated rollaboard strap slides right on and off the handle for the TSA xray and doesn't tip it over like some larger packs. There are two external water bottle pouches and a dedicated sunglasses compartment. It's small enough that when used as a carry-on, not only fits under the seat in front of me but room for my legs too. The quality is high and with the exception of the sunglasses pouch every opening is double zippered. It's large enough for a day of hiking too with plenty of room for a change of clothes and snacks. I'm very pleased with this purchase and hope it holds up with time and use.

Perfect for a woman
I bought this pack for a trip to Europe. Wanted something to use on planes, trains and ferries. This was the 3rd one I tried. Girls you will know what I mean when I say the larger ones were like a woman trying to wear men's jeans. You could do it, but it just don't feel right. This backpack seems like it was designed for a woman. It's narrower and fits at the small of my back where it should for both comfort and support. I used this on my 12 day trip and even though it was the first time in my life I wore a backpack (I am in my 60's and 5'5") I loved it. The weight seemed evenly distributed and the straps did not pull and bind. The small front compartment was great for a memo book, maps, pen and highlighter and my passport. The larger compartment held 2 changes of clothes easily with room to spare. The back compartment has a 14" computer sleeve and a tablet sleeve. I took my tablet only so used the other for travel guides, magazines, etc. There was also a small compartment where I stashed my single serving size snacks for easy access. The 2 water bottle sleeves were very handy also. Sometimes I stashed my glasses case in one as we were inside/outside quite frequently. i would not have wanted a bigger backpack as I am a packer. The more room I have, the heavier I pack. The padded straps and padded ventilated back made this a perfect fit. Highly recommend to anyone, but especially you girls.

Office use perfect
Size: not the size to fit a small child in. Perfect for daily use ferrying whatnot to work and back, office environment.Design: I like how the typical most important access things are out front. Details, like a removable key clip for whatever in case you need it. Main section for what could be cards is RFID protected. Has left/right charging port access. Used little tags with text or pictures so a person knows the design intent. Heavy things like tablets and laptops are to the very back, which folds open 180 degrees easily.Simple: I’m not using this on a construction site: I’d choose something else. It looked to me by form, fit, and function to be well thought out (as a mechanical designer I notice things like this differently I suppose). I’m impressed and glad to have it. I usually travel light so this is ideal for my purposes.
