Works on a Vampire V4 Standalone and Windows 11
Got a recommendation on Discord to try this JTAG interface to update my core on the Vampire's Cyclone 5's FPGA and it worked flawlessly with Quartus Lite 18.1 with Cyclone device support drivers.

Works awesome in Windows, not so great in Linux
This programmer works perfectly fine in Windows. If you have a Windows computer and you need an Altera/Intel FPGA programmer cheaper than the official one, this is the USB Blaster for you. It's great. However, in Linux, there is something seriously wrong. The reliability of it is really spotty, at least with Altera's programming software. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The more you ask it to do, the less likely it will succeed. I can get an erase to succeed often, but I've never been able to do a full erase/program/verify cycle in the Altera software without a failure somewhere.It's kind of shocking because if you open this up, it has the FTDI FT245RL and Altera CPLD that people say is the best type of USB Blaster clone. But there's something seriously wrong with it when Altera's Linux software is controlling it.I was able to get it to work with OpenOCD and UrJTAG on Linux. The drawback is they are both really slow to use for programming it. If you're looking for Linux compatibility, look elsewhere.

This one programs ten times faster than the cheaper black and blue programmers
Works flawlessly with Windows 10. Writes a 16 megabyte image to flash in about half a minute, compared to the USB Blasters in the black and blue case that take about 4-5 minutes to write the same image, if they work at all.

Regretful Purchase
When I saw the price Intel was asking for their JTAG burner, I went searching for alternatives. Ultimately, I found this offering and purchased it; I regret that purchase.I can't say how this product will work for you; maybe I got a bad one. What I can tell you is how it worked for me.I'm running 22.04.3 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) on a laptop with Quartus Prime Version 22.1std.1 Build 917 02/14/2023 SC Lite Edition to program a MAX 10 10M08SAE144C8G FPGA that came with a 10M08 Evaluation Kit I bought from Digikey. This product works intermittently. Generally, it fails half of my flash attempts. My worst experience using this product required 15 minutes to successfully flash the FPGA; I spent 15 frustrating minutes repeated attempting to flash, waiting for the time out, trying again, unplugging the USB cable, plugging it back in, trying to flash. It was that day when I searched for alternatives and bought a Terasic burner and a DE10 NANO.After receiving my Terasic USB Blaster, I placed this one back in the box, hoping never to use it again, but holding onto it as a spare in case I lose or break my Terasic USB Blaster.I would not encourage a person to by this product, but if you do, I hope you have better luck with it.

Works but select original blaster in software
Works as expected. Only caveat is Altera software will only recognize as a Blaster V1 not V2.
